Detailed Reviews
The building is modern and stylish with contemporary design features giving the feel of a more luxury experience.
I had some issues with the automated check in system but the staff were very friendly and checked me in with no fuss and were able to give me some advice on the local area when asked.
The room was equally modern and well appointed for the budget with all the facilities expected in good working order and spotlessly clean.
The bar area was also very clean and welcoming with a well priced menu although I ultimately chose not to eat my eving meal there.
cooked breakfast was of a good quality and was what I would expect at this price point with a modest selection.

Very good location for gigs and close to train station. Easy check in, friendly staff. Given a low floor at our request. Room very well soundproofed, close to railway line and couldn't hear a thing. Room was close to the lifts and next to a main corridor door, couldn't hear anything. Has to be the best soundproofing of any hotel we have stayed at.
Being a brand new hotel, it is very good, very comfy bed and good blackout blinds.
No free wifi in room 201 and poor mobile signal - 1/2 bars on O2 and Vodafone, would have been 5 stars if free wifi worked.
We are returning this month for two nights, will make sure we get a room with working wifi next.

We had a great couple if nights here. The location was perfect, close to the station right in the heart of the city for shopping and museums and just a 20minute walk to the Bay area. Breakfast was tasty- but would advise getting there earlier as the selection for continental is better.
If you value your skin I'd recommend taking your own toilet roll though- cheap and nasty in the bathrooms.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to attend the Billy Joel concert at the Principality stadium. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of the train station and the stadium with the main shopping area just across the road.
The check in was seamless and the rooms are immaculately clean and the perfect size for 2 adults and 1 child and the beds were the comfiest I've ever slept on.
The only negative was the restaurant. The evening meal was shocking - food that was inedible and service that was awful. It took 30 mins to be served a drink and another hour for the food to arrived which was tasteless and like rubber, it had clearly been left on the pass for far too long. I will say that the young lady (Mia) who was working in the restaurant is a credit to your company. How she never burst into tears during the evening I'll never know. People were rude and aggressive towards her due to the shortage of staff, the poor service and the terrible food. She was the only person who seemed to be doing anything and for a young girl she coped really really well.
Would I stay here again? Yes. It's the perfect location and the breakfasts are great but I wouldn't waste my money on an evening meal again especially as we were charged 3 adult upgrades even though there was only 2 adults and 1 child in our party.
Advice, staff rotas should be done to accommodate the potential
Requirements for a full hotel. 2 restaurant staff and 1 bar staff for a full hotel is just not enough.

Overall, this was a good hotel in a great location. My fiance and I stayed here for 2 nights so we could explore some of the city. We stayed in a Premier Plus room and paid for breakfast for both mornings of our stay. The hotel was a 5-minute walk away from St David's shopping centre and a 1-minute walk from the train station.
The room was spacious with good air conditioning and amenities. We were on the 15th floor and in the hallways there didn't seem to be any aircon and they got quite stuffy and warm. There were good tea and coffee-making facilities and you got a little sweet treat waiting for you in your room, as well as a couple bottles of water in the mini fridge. The room was very clean and tidy although there were a few scuffs on the walls that looked like they could have just been wiped away.
The bathroom was extremely modern with nice smelling body washes provided. There was a rainfall shower but it was over a bath, so wouldn't be appropriate for someone with mobility issues (I'm not sure if this is the case for all Plus rooms but you would need to check before booking.)
Downstairs, there was a nice restaurant/ bar area and also complimentary tea/ coffee supplies that you could take back to your room. There were also a couple of vending machines, but these were temperamental and not very well stocked. The bar and reception staff seemed nice, but there were two young women behind the bar on our second evening who seemed to keep looking at us and talking about us.
I would not recommend the cooked breakfast from this Premier Inn in particular. I have had brilliant breakfasts from Premier Inns before, but this was not one of them. We went down for breakfast at about 9:30 am and most of the cooked buffet was now cold. The scrambled eggs were so overcooked that the yolk was now completely grey (they had definitely been done in the microwave). The second morning I chose to have continental instead and it was much better. The selection was good and everything was fresh.
Check-out was easy and I would stay again if I was in the area.

This Premier inn cardiff city (stadium) ew (ish)hotel Is in a fantastic location, 5 mins fron train station, 5 mins from utilita arena great if your going to a gig or show as a did, cardiff castle 10 min walk, city shops on the doorstep, cardiff bay easy 15-20 min walk away. The hotel itself is clean modern and stylish, reception staff polite and friendly, hotel room (Standard) clean modern, great lighting, functional clean bathroom, USB Sockets, tea and coffee making equipment hair dryer, and of course the comfy beds as always with premier inns and aircon/heater if needed. Breakfast buffet well worth getting before a stroll around cardiff. Would I stay again definitely.

Out of all the Premier Inns we’ve stayed in across UK and Ireland over the past two and a half weeks, Claire at reception gave us the best welcome. Professional, friendly and helpful. Bravo!
The hotel is brand new, only opened earlier this year. We were offered our pick of rooms and went for the 14th floor which had fantastic views over the city. On the other side, rooms have a view of Cardiff Bay. The very top floors are for the Premier Plus rooms and I can imagine would be well worthwhile the extra few pounds.
A great sleep and quiet. Very handy to the train station and the lively main thoroughfare to the castle.
The only niggle is the WiFi, and this is a problem with all Premier Inns. It wasn’t strong enough to even load emails.

This is a wonderful Premier Inn. It is footsteps away from the station and all that Cardiff city has to offer, yet ever so peaceful. Premier rooms are worth every penny, in this case, with extraordinary views of Cardiff Bay, the city and the mountains beyond.
BUT my most important reason for posting is that c5pm a tech problem hit the network temporarily and I watched an organised and brilliantly customer caring team help every single one of us through check in via every workaround available to them. Extraordinary tenacity and resilience!! Who could ask for more?! Thank you especially Mia for making my dinner for one so comfortable and Corey for crazy multitasking at check in!
Would recommend and recommend. Fabulous team, fantastic location, lovely clean rooms, gorgeous!

Mia and her male colleague were really polite and professional, we ate in the restaurant both nights, it was good value and food was ideal for a quick bite. Plenty of choice. Breakfast was great food really fresh. Great location for station, stadium and shopping etc

We stayed in this Premier Inn as a stepping stone to go down to Southampton. We arrived quite late and greeted by a friendly member of staff. I called ahead a few days before to change one of the rooms to a family room and they said they’d changed it but on checkin-in, it was still showing as double, he very quickly changed it to a family room. Their room was on the 12th floor and I was on the 14th floor. There’s lots of security, you have to use your card to get where the lifts are and you have to use your card to call the lift. Everything smells so new and it’s lovely. The room is typically Premier Inn and it’s fresh and new.
We hadn’t booked it prior, but we decided to go for food in the restaurant , by this time it was quite late and thankfully they were still serving. We were served very quickly and we ordered the food. The food did take quite a long time to come considering how late it was. When it did come, it was very nice. We settled up and then went to bed.
It was a very comfortable night sleeping. It was quiet in the hotel corridors, even from the street below, I couldn’t hear a thing. I remember staying in the Clayton hotel opposite once and even though we were high up, you could still hear the traffic and people shouting on a Saturday night, but it wasn’t the case here.
We hadn’t planned, but we went to breakfast the following morning. I wish we had got the meal deal now as it’s a very good deal. Breakfast was nice. You could have a hot breakfast or Continental, there is lots of choice. They had crumpets. It’s not very often you see crumpets and they look homemade.
I am staying here again next week. I’m very much looking forward to it.
