Great localy source fresh food, perfectly cooked to you requirements (with reference to their great Fillet steaks) and great real ale selection with their own brewed beer that's great. Friendly personal welcome and recognized on return visits. Lovely clean and spacious rooms, no compromising here. Always come back to stay here even if its not the nearest place. Easy to...

We were a party of six adults, booked three rooms for one night, pre Rod Stewart Concert. Two of the rooms were in the main building and one room was in the cottage. We stayed in room 2 in the main building and my daughter and her husband stayed in room 3. Both rooms were well decorated, our room was...

Been here on a few occasions. loved every one! Parking can be a bit of a nightmare at busy times. That aside, once your inside the cars a million miles away. Had Faggots and peas the last time. Be warned, the faggots alone could feed the Welsh Rugby team. AND the ref! Nice being here when the log fire is...

We stayed for two nights recently in a cosy cottage accommodation behind the Inn. This was absolutely fine. We ate there on Friday night and planned to eat in Cardiff on Saturday night. The meal and service was so good that we ate at Gwaelod Y Garth Inn on Saturday night too. Breakfasts were good quality, cooked to order and...

Visited this Inn for a birthday meal with 5 friends. Log fire burned in a cosy bar with Christmas decorations dotted about. We dined upstairs in a very comfortable dining area. Staff very helpful and a good choice menu. Excellent food and service and reasonably priced. Will be visiting there again.

What a great B&B this is! Right from the moment we arrived we felt very at home. The room was spotless and comfortable. The location was excellent - handy for the city by train but outside of the big city bustle. But most of all we enjoyed the friendly kindness of everyone we met, that and the fabulous breakfast.

What a lovely, friendly, welcoming place this is. We arrived in time for lunch and had a very good meal in the restaurant. The menu offers a good selection, the food is well cooked and the service is friendly and efficient. We went into Cardiff to watch rugby and returned later in the evening for a drink in the bar....

7 of us turned up yesterday afternoon without booking in advance and were given a lovely welcome. Staff rearranged furniture to accommodate us. We ordered a variety of steaks cooked beautifully according to requests and a fabulous dish from the specials board of hake with mussels, clams and cockles - stunning! Delicious deserts completed the meal. It isn't cheap but...

My husband and I just got back from a 3 week trip in the UK and Gwaelod was our favorite place to stay. We were there from Aug 21 through Aug 23. The room/bathroom were always clean, warm, very spacious and cozy and the bed was comfortable offering a great nights sleep. The staff was more than helpful, friendly and...
