Quality for money.
Like most Travelodge's across it offers value for money for an overnight stay.
There is a pub across that serves good food at decent prices.
the staff at the hotel are welcoming and has a decent lay out.

Me and my partner has stayed in this hotel for the last 2 months due to a flood in our house. But I couldn’t thank the staff enough who’ve made our stay memorable. Loraine, Sarah, Ffion, Irene and Lilly we’d like to thank you for looking after us from the very beginning, it feels more like family rather than people who just work here as we’ve been here so long haha, they’re always happy to help us out and very friendly towards us and our little dog Ralphie. The room is very clean and we get daily fresh towels too, the bath runs boiling hot water unlike some hotels and you can get a decent nights sleep on the beds too. the hotel is next to the red kite if you want a pub meal and a couple of drinks, and only a 5-10 mins walk to the centre of Caerphilly too, good location, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you guys
Leon, Nicola & Ralphie

At check-in I was met by a really friendly team of staff who made me feel like it was no trouble at all to ask them questions about the location and my stay. The hotel was spotless, warm and I had everything I needed including extra pillows should I need them. Although I didn't have it I noticed that breakfast was only a fiver, which lets face it, is amazingly cheap these days.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay there again myself.

Budget with a capital B.
The hotel has been reduced to the basics, a room with a bathroom and parking.
All other requirements have been pared down, cheap soap, extremely cheap toilet tissue, few towels, reduced room cleaning, just adequate hotel cleaning, little food.
But it is cheap.

Carpet in the room was filthy. No USB port to charge devices
Towels did not feel fresh and crisp. One had a mark. Off putting to say the least!
The corridor had a distinct stale smell.
The staff, however were polite and helpful.

Just had a night away so that we were able to meet up with family in Wales for walks during the days.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Advise given on where we could get take away meals.
Plenty of hand sanitizers
All at a very affordable price. Thanks Travelodge .

Have booked 2 more nights in Travelodges in England and Scotland in late May when restrictions are eased there so that we can see family again.

Currently I am staying in travelodge in caerphilly! The staff are absolutely amazing. When I first came in here Irene came knocking on my door making sure I was ok and if I need any assistance with anything. She's extremely helpful and professional. I've met Becky also very friendly and supportive! Lorraine is very funny, friendly and helpful. The manager James was looking after my belongings when I first came here and he gave me a trolley to carry my belongings. He's very professional and knowledgeable! Carol and Emma made me feel at ease at night as I woke up at 4am due to personal reasons. All staff members are absolutely amazing including also Gina and lee!!

The facilities and rooms are to high standards of cleanliness. They offer breakfast box in the morning. The bed is king size and beyond comfortable! They even give you fresh clean towels and sheets.

Also there is lidl s opposite travelodge which is helpful and red kite restaurant/ pub next door which is also number 1 on trip advisor!

Overall I would recommend travelodge over any other hotels in general : 10/10!!!

Caerphilly travellodge is a compact well located hotel.
The hotel is a nice location with good views of the hills surrounding Caerphilly.
The rooms are clean and a good size with plenty of room for 3 people.
The cafeteria was shut due to Covid 19 when we visited however there is a pub / restaurant next door and a Lidl right across the street.
There is a good range of eatries about 3 minutes walk behind the hotel with a Subway, a fish and chip shop, a chinese restaurant as well as a small Tescos.
Looking at the map you would think that the hotel is on the edge of town but seeing as Caerphilly is a small town, it can pretty much be classified as being close to everywhere.
Caerphilly itself is a pleasant little town, with a massive castle in the town centre, which also has a good range of shops.
Cardiff is less than half an hours drive away.
A nice little find and we were happy to stay there.

I really enjoyed the past 2 days staying in this hotel. The place was spotless, nice big comfy bed in a huge room with a big flat screen TV and a modern sparkling clean bathroom. What really made my stay though was the lady on the front desk, Irene. She went above and beyond to help me from the moment I checked in. From being a porter and helping me with all my bags (there were many!) to helping to heat up a few of my ready meals in the microwave she really was kindness overload and made my stay so comfortable and reassuring at what was a really difficult time in my life. Thank you Irene, I will never forget your exceptional kindness and cannot wait to return to Travelodge Caerphilly!

The station you want is on the same valleys line as Aber. Aber rail station is 10-15 minutes walk from the Travelodge. Caerphilly station is 30 minutes walk from the Travelodge. Note. Aber does not have an all-day ticket office.

All the rooms doesn’t have black out curtains but the curtains are hanging are quite thick and light does not pass through them in the morning. Room turns dark even in daylight when you draw the curtains. Hope that helps.
