Myself and two teenage children visited and stayed in one of the three bed rooms. It had a small shower and washbasin room and we shared the toilet facility. The room was clean and well maintained and the beds ( a single and a bunk bed ) were very comfortable. The hostel is in a loverly location at the head...

I have stayed at many YHAs around the UK over many years and this is one of the best. To me, hostelling is more than quality of accommodation in isolation – location, atmosphere, staff and guest camaraderie all play a part. Danywenallt has them all. I booked 2 nights back in January and omitted to say my wife is disabled....

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, so peaceful and secluded, plenty of walks in the area and not too far from local small villages. Dinner was excellent and great value. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Bit of a mixed visit to this yha having had numerous successful visits in recent months to other yha properties Setting is fantastic and on a sunny weekend it was a great place to stay The cleanliness of the property however really let it down. Like any yha much of that relies on the goodwill of the guests but here...

I'm retired, but my wife has a fairly stressful job and I was looking for somewhere that we could truly get away from it all. What bliss, no tv, no mobile signal, not even radio and to cap it all the weather gods were smiling. Yes we had some rain this was Wales in November for goodness sake but on...

This hostel is very well located for the Taff Trail and other walks in the Brecon region. It can be a struggle to find if you do not thoroughly read the directions on the website, as the left turn across the dam looks like it is only a cycle trail. We had a shared bathroom private room. The room was...

Hi Kitty_karate. Thank you for your review and feedback. We are constantly striving to improve our little farmhouse and have now made plans to put an extra set of blankets in each room, and we have found a way to dim the green emergency LED's in the new lights we fitted recently. The MIA toilet paper was naughty and extra...

Very accommodating staff who did their upmost to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Above and beyond service vastly overshadowing other YHA stays to date. The accommodation was of appropriate calibre for the price of the room and thus was good value for money.

We stayed here for one night having travelled from YHA Pen-y-Pass. Lovely hostel and friendly staff, we were self catering but the food being served looked good. Would definitely stay for longer next time. Thank you

A friend and I stayed here this week during a cycle tour of Wales. We were so glad we had opted to stay here. After cycling a fair distance we arrived exhausted and barely able to string a sentence together but were greeted by Danny who was so friendly and welcoming. Just what was needed. We really felt looked after...

We had a family room for 3. The centre was in a great location and the view over the beacons and reservoir really fabulous. The staff were great and always helpful. Room a little small and we appreciated the shower though we knew we weren't en suite. Definitely recommend.
