I booked the Draen following a search of local places to stay, as we were travelling from Yorkshire to attend a wedding. We did have a slight problem finding the property, as it is at the end of a narrow lane, and it was dark when we arrived. We were warmly welcomed and offered a drink and cake, however, we...

The Draen is tucked away up a narrow country lane in Llanfilo, 6 miles or so from Brecon. On the edge of the Beacons, it is in a superb location, tranquil and with easy access for walking and sightseeing in the area. It is easy to find, because the owners have thoughtfully signposted the B&B once you reach the church...

If getting away from the madding crowd is your scene, then this is it! Tucked down the end of a narrow country lane, with no through traffic, only rolling hills, sheep and a couple of horses in the vicinity - this is my idea of a getaway. Then of course the lovely bedrooms and bathrooms (we had the Rose Suite...

Had a lovely couple of nights here - possible the best breakfast ever - superb local produce for the full English (or should that be Welsh), and excellent service. Room was charming and very comfortable. Sitting room with lots of books, cd's and wood burner for colder days - intend to return.

Our hosts made us feel very comfortable. Our room was very clean with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. The breakfast is made to you requirements and is just awesome. The views are great if you are as lucky as we were and get clear sunny weather. You'll need your own transport to stay in Llanfilo. Note that this...

The Draen walks a really nice line of welcoming hospitality and privacy. Our room had a private living room with it. The owner was very helpful with local recommendations. We bought wine and sat out in the garden listening to the sheep and birds. Really lovely and a nice change from a town centre hotel/bnb. When it got chilly the...

Just had a wonderful 3 days at the Draen. Sue and Johnny are the perfect hosts. The room (we were very lucky to have the Rose Suite) was beautifully presented and sparkling clean and fresh. The breakfast was delicious the smell of a cooked breakfast draws you to the dining table each morning. The surroundings are picturesque and it's lovely...

Lovely old building with big garden in a quiet but accessible location surrounded by farmland and near to the Beacons and Pen y Fan. Rooms well appointed and very clean. Great breakfast made by Johnny, with individual tables for each room. A...

I stayed at The Draen for a week recently and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Sue and Johnny made my pal and I very much at home and nourished us with lovely breakfasts in the conservatory . Sue even provided tasty packed lunches for a very reasonable price. The room we had was spacious and clean with an en suite....

A very friendly, comfortable farmhouse B&B in a beautiful situation. The owners are welcoming and helpful and it is the only such place we have stayed where times and content of breakfast is not organised the evening before. And what great breakfasts we had. Comfortable, well appointed bedrooms, en-suite, and a big sitting room, although we spent our time in...
