This is a delightful place. It is set in an absolutely beautiful and stunning setting. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. There is free wifi, you can make tea/coffee and the owners were so extremely warm, friendly and helpful. Very good cooked breakfast and lovely walks in the area. Good pubs not too far a drive away. I would...

I've stayed here four times over the last year. Rachel Sid and their young family always make their guests very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The modern rooms with bathrooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfasts excellent. I understand they also have self-catering houses/flats in the courtyard; definitely worth a look. Highly recommended.

We have been making our annual visit to the Brecon area for several years and always chose different B+B's as another way of exploring different places. However, since staying at Ty Newydd some years ago we have stopped 'trying out' alternative B+B's and now always stay at Ty Newydd. It has a glorious position set near the canal and the...

A beautiful farmhouse with stunning views from our room. The room was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was huge and everything locally sourced where possible. Rachel and Sid were great hosts giving us space but being on hand with lots of information. We ate at The Royal Oak in the next village about a 20 minute walk, very...

We stayed at Ty Newydd for 2 nights in April for a family gathering in Brecon. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. From the outset we were made welcome, there is parking to the front of the B&B which is in what, presumably, used to be the farm courtyard. We stayed in Room 3 which is...

Rachel is a gracious host and full of helpful information about what to see and do in the surrounding area. The rooms were beautifully furnished (we even had red roses in our room) and the breakfasts were generous and delicious. A great spot for walkers, lots of maps to borrow and a boot dryer room as well - lots of...
