having just returned from our weekend stay, we would certainly recommend the hotel. Set in beautiful grounds overlooking the river, we stayed in a superior river view room. The room was large, clean and comfortable, with a balcony. The hotel is dog friendly, we took our Spaniel with us, and were made to feel very welcome, whenever we sat down...

Help ! please apply immediately - Maitre d' required to bring some badly needed expertise to a Hotel that has very willing and friendly staff, but lacks a management overview and attention to detail. We had a lovely 'river view room', spacious, beautiful view, all that was required. We stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. The young New...

We sincerely apologise about the service you received during your meal at the Hotel and you are right to make the comments you have made. Unfortunately we recently tragically lost our Restaurant manager and though we have employed an outstanding replacement, she was unable to start work until this week. This is no excuse for the service you received, we...

This delightful hotel is in the most amazing location and the views from the dining room are awesome. Close to Betws-y-Coed but quiet and secluded it is definitely worth a stay. The staff were most helpful, the evening meals excellent and clearly used a lot of home grown and even home smoked ingredients and the whole hotel was absolutely spotless....

We stayed at The Riverside Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary in a location we wanted to use as a base for exploring the area on foot. Having read what the hotel had to offer and having never stayed there previously we read the reviews and booked our two night stay some months in advance. When we arrived we were...

Having spent a number of stays at this hotel,it came as no surprise that when we stayed for the New Year celebrations they were not found lacking. The food is out of this world and the chef(Andrew) just keeps on providing exquiste meals. The staff both Gill, who as been there since we first started going around 10 years ago, supported by...

An excellent base to be exploring the area and our 3 night stay (over the New Year) was not enough, as the area has much to offer. Apart from the beautiful countryside, there is the narrow gauge steam railway at Blaenau Ffestiniog, slate mines, Roman bridges (there are two), various castles. You can walk to Betws y Coed quite easily...

Stayed here last year and as a rule don't like going back to places as they always disappoint, here however is that exception, beautiful setting, Martin at reception is a gem, always friendly and genuine, we had a different room that was gorgeous, warm and had stunning views over the river that went from sedate to wild due to the...

A nice friendly hotel, where the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our room was very clean and very warm. A good selection of teas and coffee in the room and wifi was available after getting a passcode from reception. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which was good, however our main could have been hotter...
