We had a 1 night stay in this hotel last weekend. It's perfectly located in the centre of the village, overlooking the river and is a very pretty looking building. The reception was friendly and efficient and all the public areas are very cosy. Our room overlooked the car park at the back but that wasn't a problem. It had...

Conference booking was painless (dealt with Barbara). The David Cox suite was too much of a squeeze for us (20 in U-shape) so transferred to the larger Llugwy Suite the next day (doubles as the Llugwy River Restaurant). We had requested the larger room so not sure why we were given the smaller room. Both face the main road and...

Really enjoyed our Saturday night stay here. It's right in the heart of Betys and you get a parking pass that is valid until 11pm on your day of departure which is a great way to get people to stay for longer to enjoy the area. The room we stayed in had a lovely view of the river and park...

I had been to this place for a business offsite of 10 members in feb and was stationed in the annexe (stables) Location: It was beautiful to have a place next to flowing water and by the road. However, the conference got disturbed many a times with traffic movement. This was close to Snowdonia information center, a small market, a...

Stayed in the main hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was very comfy. Had a good nights sleep. Food in the bar/bistro was excellent with the steak and ale pie the best I've had for ages. Great breakfast with great service. We thought room rate including breakfast was good value.

We stayed in a B&B up the road but walked down one afternoon, looking for afternoon tea. Found the Royal Oak and enquired about afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and very attentive and we sat in a warm, cosy lounge. The tea arrived and then our food. We had a lovely selection of scones, with cream & jam, plus...

Have been to the Royal Oak many, many times over the years as Betws-y-Coed is a regular stop off place for folk on motorcycles. The food is always good and of generous proportions and eating outside in Y-Stablau area on good days in the Summer is always a bonus ( assuming you can get a table because it is VERY...

It was very busy when we arrived and squeezed ourselves onto a couple of tables. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very nice. The children enjoyed their meals and we all had a good time. The restaurant was busy and we were a large group but there were some larger tables taken by small groups and I...

Called in here today for a quick late lunch and it was defiantly worth it 😊 very nice decor, spotlessly clean, helpful waiter and delicious food 😊 we didn't wait too long either 🍷 the hot chocolate deluxe is a must, sadly my 4 year old pinched my flake before the photo was taken. Looking forward to my next visit...

Although we did not stay at the hotel we had walked past it several times and were curious as to whether the Grill Room was open to the general public, thankfully it was. We had two fantastic meals on two separate occasions, wonderful welsh meat, lamb and steak and very generous portions. The local staff were particularly friendly and helpful...
