I treated the boyfriend for his birthday in February of this year (2016). All in all the hotel is a lovely place. The staff were very friendly and if we needed anything they were there to help. Our room was lovely, the en-suit was beautiful! The only problem I have is that when booking the superior room it said with...

Stayed at the Gwydyr Hotel for two nights 1,2, April. A large group of eight people. We have stayed here before so it's nice to be greeted with a 'cheery hello' from the staff. We arrived early but sat in the bar with the lovely coal fire burning, somewhere nice to sit on a cold, rainy day. We ate in...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst doing the horseshoe. Hotel was quiet despite being Easter. The rooms were fine, breakfast good. Easy base to walk around Betwys in the evening. It's got car parking round the back. It has a bar although not great ambience to it.

We went in here earlier in the week for lunch it was lovely had a easter film on large screen for the children. We stopped again today for a drink after a long day walking. The service was fantastic. We sat by the fire, with our children and dog they made us so welcome even providing the dog the water...

We stayed here on the Saturday night of Easter weekend as the second stop around our road of Wales - the hotel, and the town in general, was very busy. The Gwydyr hotel itself was a lovely building, set in the centre of Betws-y-Coed, with car parking available at the rear. Our room was spacious and clean with a very...

The Hotel is central to the village easy to find and close to good shops related to walking also for general tourism. Close to the main walking areas of Snowdon 15 min car ride. Good food, we had breakfast, they do evening meals also. The staff are great people very friendly and helpful. The room we had was well appointed...

We've been for the last 2 weekends whilst visiting Snowdonia. The hotel is great. Plenty of space inside and we'll decorated in a modern contemporary style that supplements the building. Really good staff and all serve well. Choice of a couple of real ales plus lagers too. The biggest TV screen I've ever seen makes a good venue for sport....

We realised when booking that we would probably be in one of the rooms yet to be refurbished (ie last minute booking, busy Valentine's weekend) and that the hotel is yet to have all areas completed (the new owner's web page states that the hotel had been neglected in the past). However, we really didn't expect the standard of the...
