Lovely views, clean showers and toilets with lots of space and decent amenities (no shop). There's stone built fire places and fire wood available (£)from the owner; who brings it to your door.

I read some of the negative recent reviews, and was nervous of going for a night with my son (his first camping trip), due to the references regarding grumpy staff. I wanted to stay there though, because it was so close to Beddgelert, allowing me to walk into the town with my son

Can you walk from the campsite up Snowdon? We have a 7 year old so want the easiest path too?!
It is a long way for a 7 year old! But there is a bus that stops outside campsite around 9am? I think, and you can go to whichever route you want. Llanberis is longest, but easiest, Pyg track might be best. The nearest is Rhd du.

Nothing wrong with that.

Can we fish the waters
Last year when we were there, there was a guy angling and he managed to catch 2 trout. So I'm guessing yes. Although you may want to check with the staff beforehand as upsetting them may get your banned from ever going there again! (see my review).
