We have just returned from a great stay at Gales. I wish more people would stray off 'the main drag' to visit here. Only a few minutes walk from the bridge, and you will find a lovely place for lunch or dinner, with some unusual menu choices not found elsewhere in the town! A family run business, it has a...

I have been slow to review this Hotel as I selfishly did not want it to become so popular that I could not get a room when I needed one, However my company now has a deal with a local business which chooses our hotels and unfortunately Gales is not one of them. Where to start? The rooms that I...

This is essentially a B&B above a wine bar, with continental breakfast included, cooked is increased cost. It is a bit worn around the edges, but nothing too bad. It is very noisy until early in the morning, as the drinking seem to go on until 01.00 in the morning (at least), so if you are looking for a quiet...

Our triple room on the ground floor was lovely, with plenty of space for just the two of us and very comfortable beds. Noise from Gales' gift/wine shop could be clearly heard as the room is right next to it but it's not really a problem if you're out all day as it closes around 5/5.30 Port in the room...

We booked this hotel through Living Social, and got a great deal on two night's B&B inc wine tasting. The room was comfortable, with a nice sofa and television, plus shower ensuite. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly lady who took us to our room and gave us a little guide of the place. We ate in...

My wife booked this inn purely as a place to rest whilst we were in Llangollen for a weekend. It far exceeded our expectations . Lovely comfortable room and bed with an en suite with all the usuals. Plus, a small carafe of port on each evening. Breakfast was everything you would expect with an added bonus of some home...

A lovely hotel & very welcoming. Would definitely visit again 👌🏼 The room was clean and nicely decorated with many old furniture that makes it that bit more special. Ideal location to get around the town and enjoy the views. Very quiet and would recommend to all
