Stayed here for a night while attending a wedding in APRIL 2015. The room had a double bed & En-Suite & overlooked the busy main road. Due to the windows having old fashioned wooden frames you could hear all the passing traffic until the early hours. There is a carpark at the rear of the hotel but it is small.... More

I stayed in the hotel as it was close to the Hospital where I had to sit for an exam. The location was ideal being only a 20 - 30 minute walk away and being close to the main (and only) road of abergavveny. It is also just a 10 minute walk from the train station. The staff were helpful... More

Attended a wedding in Sugar Barn Abergavenny and stayed overnight at The Swan Hotel. What a lovely atmosphere , from the friendly and welcoming staff to the friendly and welcoming locals in the hotel bar. The room was clean and tidy. The bed very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very filling with as much cereal, toast, coffee, tea and juice... More

I was recently on a night out in Abergavenny with a friend that I hadn't seen for a while, after a few drinks we fancied something to eat and realised even though we are both locals in Abergavenny we had never eaten at the Swan before so decided to give it a go. The atmosphere in the bar was as... More

The room was very poor, no air conditioning unless you call a piece of wood 2" x 2" x 15" keeping the window open, evidently they cannot afford to have the sashes repaired, it was hot when we stayed there so it was noisy as well due to having to keep the wood in the window. Secondly and more serious... More

Five of us went for a Sunday lunch. The host/waiter was chewing and wearing old scruffy jeans. He did get better as the meal progressed and was polite and helpful. Good to see them serving local beers - Evans Evans. I am not a fan of carveries as the food is usually not very hot and this was the same.... More
