Group of 18 teenagers plus adults arrived late but welcomed by friendly staff. Fortunately no one else in main building so noise and late bed time did not infringe on anyone else. Great for our requirements.

The hostel is set in an amazing location, easy to walk snowdon. Friendly staff. Excellent kitchen, dining room to eat and the room was comfortable. No WIFI or games room so worth bringing your own entertainment.

A great family friendly Youth Hostel in the heart of Snowdonia overlooking the Llyn Gwynant. We stayed in the Coach House which I recommend if you have children otherwise head for the main house. We had a lovely view over the lake from our room which was fantatstic to wake upto in a morning. Great for exploring Snowdon but out...

Three of used this as a base to get our bikes up Mount Snowdon. Other hostels are nearer but were full. We stayed in a 5 person en-suite room. Some areas had been refurbished or repainted and some needed doing. Small kitchen for the number of people who could stay there. Great views, lovely building, welcoming and friendly staff.

On the first night of our stay (21/10/16) the fire alarm was activated at about 23:00 and continued well into the early hours of the morning for at least 90 minutes. We were forced to congregate outside in the freezing cold while guests attempted to silence it as there were no staff available at that hour. My friend and I...

What a beautiful location! A magical place located at the foot of Mt. Snowdon. A lake across the roadway from the Hostel, forests and mountains everywhere you looked, and a historical main house with local artifacts only aided in enchanting me. Restful and quiet, there is no internet or cell service here. Hiking trails are everywhere, and a bus service...

This is the second time I've stayed here. Before I stayed in the building called the coach house which is next to the car park about a minute walk away from the main building. I had a much better experience this time as I find the main building is a lot cleaner with better, more comfier beds.. And warmer. The...

Large group of Eastern Europeans drinking in rooms above ours until 5am. At 7 am their wives got up to make even more noise clearing up. Same group let off explosive devices/ flares in the woods at night. YHA staff seemed unconcerned/ unable to manage them. If this Youth Hostel is allowing large groups like this, then please beware when...

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It is relatively small so has a more homely and less institutional feel than the larger hostels. The facilities were all clean and comfortable. I catered for myself and found the kitchen to be clean and well equipped. It is very well situated for walks in the area including, of course, walks...
