This is one of those lovely discoveries - a family run hotel where everyone wants to make you welcome. The room I had was extremely comfortable with everything you would need. What tops it off is the exceptional Chinese restaurant that caters for dietary needs. No sugary sauces here. Everything appears to be home made and it is very good!...

Had a comfortable bed in a large, clean room. Plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Nice fully tiled shower room. Very cheerful and welcoming hosts. Excellent location for trains, buses and town centre. Parking available. Unfortunately heating is only on during morning and evening and during the cold spell we had recently, the room always seemed a bit cold.

Everything about the hotel was just wonderful. It's clean, it's comfortable. The staff are attentive, welcoming and friendly without being pushy. Breakfast is well laid out with an excellent choice of quality items.

We really enjoyed the personal and friendly service at this hotel. The location is excellent, right across the street from the train station, so a convenient walk with luggage (but without any train noise problems). And fairly close to High Street for shopping and restaurants. The location gives you good access to Bangor University, and the bus routes that fan...

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, rooms are very good, food is excellent. I would certainly stay here again. Apparently a family run hotel and the staff work hard here. Was very impressed with the 3 night stay.

This is a nice B&B (not a hotel) but rooms are nice & clean. I booked a single room & was upgraded to a twin, which had a good size bathroom. The staff are very friendly & helpful. I stayed whilst it was quiet & didn't get disturbed by other guests but I can imagine when busy, you would hear...

On my visit to Bangor, Wales, I. Chose to stay at the Garden Hotel. Family owned and operated by a nice Asian family that gives to the Hotel that feeling you experience when you visit your grandparents, everything was extrimelly clean and comfortable, the bed was excellent, the food, is supposed to be great, I did not try because I...

Overbooking in Dublin saw us spend a few extra days in Wales before the ferry; Bangor ended up being a great place to relax in the meantime. The university town is large enough to have everything you might want, but still feels small enough to enjoy. The Garden Hotel is located within sight (<100m) of the train station. We booked...

To be honest I was doubtful as it didn't look wonderful outside. The staff could not have been nicer, more welcoming,or helpful, and bid us farewell in the same manner. The room was small but big enough, proper coathangers in the wardrobe, a big plus- I hate hotel hangers- very clean and cosy, bed comfy. I would not hesitate to...

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident. I often struggle to find a place that serves vegetarian food. More often than not I will only have 2 items to choose. There were 4 of us together and I was able to eat the Crispy Aromatic Duck course as they did a terrific Soya version. It was so tasty. Then I...
