Booked in late on Saturday for the night after 10pm with our Yorkshire terrier....Too tired to question the price which suddenly went up from £63 from Tel enquiry, to £70 upon arrival. Room was in the attic, as expected, room looked tired, more importantly bed linen looked clean. This morning awake at 6.30am, dog walking before a shower. Oh no,... More

Stayed with a bunch of friends on a weekend away, this hotel is just what was needed a room at the front that overlooks the bay, it was clean and warm and everything that we wanted. The lift was very slow and breakfast was in a large room which made it feel a bit like a holiday camp but the... More

Although the Marine Hotel is a hotel, the food is worth travelling for, the Sunday carvery is an event in itself, locals travel to get their Sunday lunch, visitors have to book to make sure of this marvel. Steak night, Wednesday is a real treat, and general meal times are a pleasure, either sit in the bar or go through... More

Me and my partner decided to try the sunday carvery after hearing rave reviews from friends. We were not disappointed!! The choice of starters, meat on the carvery and deserts were vast and everything was cooked and presented to perfection. The staff were great and very helpful. The prawn and smoked salmon starter (that you help yourself to) roast lamb... More

We needed to stay in Aber after dropping off our son at the University. Since the hotel we had stayed at before was full, we booked this one instead. Although this was more expensive was of much lower quality. The receptionist was unwelcoming with no offer of papers. The room was shabby, the shower was very old fashioned. The breakfast... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night, due to work commitments in Aberystwyth. After a long drive I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who advised me of the car parking and restaurant facilities. My key wouldn't work in the room door, but she was happy to help with another key and made sure I got into the room... More

Check-in was rather cold/rude. Room was OK but shower was awful. Breakfast was grim, especially the bowl of per-made toast. The other reviews on tripadvisor are good descriptions. Basically book nearby for a more reliable friendly experience (and yes I have stayed at other hotels very close to this one)

Unable to stay in our usual hotel when settling daughter at University so settled on the more expensive Marine Hotel and opted for a 'deluxe room' with a sea view. The sea view was lovely and bed was comfy but room cramped despite it's description, unable to get jacuzzi bath to work ( apparently I should have called reception and... More

To start with this hotel has wonderful reception staff really polite helpful and welcoming. Our room was on the third floor so the lift was a must unless you like slanted stairs. The room was compact but the made the best use of the space. Be mindful of the attic style room on the third floor as my fiancé banged... More
