There are many B&Bs in Aberystwyth but hardly any proper hotels. The Glengower is the closest so far and is in a lovely location on the promenade. The room was big enough and the bathroom looked new with a good shower, fluffy towels and toiletries. The bed was comfortable and we had a sea view. The breakfast was excellent and...

Situated right on the seafront this is a place with an excellent range of real ales which are beautifully kept. The food is also excellent and there is a good selection. Watching the sea come in during the winter whilst you are in the warm is a joy. We will be going again.

The Glengower is a very popular seafront bar with rustic charm, we stayed there before Christmas 3 nights split over 2 weeks. Move up to the rooms it's another world. The first room lovely view but so dated the furnishings are shoddy, poor bathroom fittings. With no lift either so you need to aware of the steep stairs. Second room...

Stayed here between Christmas & New Year. Lovely bar meal & excellent breakfast. Staff were very friendly. Spacious room with a seaview, the only criticism I have the furniture was very dated & shabby.

Stayed and eaten here a few times , great warm welcome by all staff brilliant facilities and fantastic food and views if you can get a room at the front , great stay.close to all amenities but not too close . Beach on the doorstep and very nice and rare out door space at the front.

Lovely stay at The Glengower, yes furniture is dated but room was clean and warm. Food was excellent, staff very pleasant and efficient. Bar/Restaurant was always busy which is a good sign. Lovely sea views from bar to relax and have a glass or two!

Second time staying here, and very happy. This is a comfortable, unpretentious hotel which scores highly on friendliness and good service. We had a spacious and comfortable double room with a large bay window looking out to sea. The hotel is right on the seafront so you can here the waves crashing on the beach. The bed was comfortable, the...

Really enjoyed ourselves during this winter 2 day break with my wife. Hotel clean and most comfortable with excellent communal bar/restaurant area, great well cooked and presented food, and welcoming and helpful staff. Very warm standard twin 'L' shaped room good value for money though slight disappointment in that beds were well apart (double fully booked). Still, we were comfortable...

Very, very nice stay - great staff, nice big room, fantastic location, very good breakfast, nice bar with a good choice of ales. It was a close call between a four star review, as the bathroom was a little tired and the shower was not that great - but the helpful, friendly service, location, and overall vibe of the hotel...
