Stayed for one night after two nights at nearby Stanbrook Abbey. My theme for the long weekend was "Big impressive looking, unusual Hotels" and as we drove up to Dumbleton Hall we pulled over to takes photos, it was big, impressive and down a long drive, perfect. Unfortunately that's as good as it got. Once inside and checked in, in...

This is the second time I have stayed here, once with two friends and this time with my husband and two dogs. The whole hotel is really comfortable, from the delightful entrance hall with a wood fire to squashy sofas in the lounge to a stylish, well staffed restaurant - and so to bed. Room 27 was well equipped, warm,...

We have stayed at this hotel several times now, and never once been disappointed. The whole feel of the place is relaxing, and welcoming. We stayed on B and B basis this time, but had the Valentines Day special evening meal , which was very good. Breakfast is superb - plentiful, lots of choices and the waiting staff are great...

Very good period hotel in own grounds and great views. Staff , food and housekeeping cannot fault. Open log fires were a treat in winter.Try for a front facing room for best views. All rooms seem to be in the main hall.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful setting for a weekend away from the world for Valentines. The hotel itself is like stepping back in time to a grander age - the room was large, comfortable and warm (on a bitterly cold weekend) - the ensuite was large and spotless. The staff were polite and so helpful especially...

We stayed there for one night on our way to Gloucester and loved it . The setting is marvellous and the scenery excellent. The room was spacious and had a large bath and shower. All the staff were polite and attentive, and even printed me off sheets of papers with the history of the Hall on. During the night it...

We had a two night Travel Zoo offer that included breakfast, one dinner and a free glass of wine. Our stay was fanastic! As this was a birthday treat for my husband I phoned to check out which room we had been given (sometimes deals get you the attic room). The receptionist kindly changed our room to a magnificent family...

We arrived around lunchtime & wanted some lunch. They were very busy with a wedding fair & as we had two dogs with us they ushered us into the bar, which was empty of people including the barman!! After waiting to be served for around 5mins I went to reception to ask if we could be served & was told...
