Certificate of Excellence
This is a new kind of country hotel. We're affordable but not budget, stylish but not pretentious, and outdoorsy but just as happy to stay in and put our feet up by the fire. With 400 acres of spectacular private estate countryside on our doorstep, a host of activities to try (from shooting to Segway safaris), and all the glories of the Cotswolds within easy reach, The Fish is your back-to-nature bolt-hole with a little touch of luxury.

The hut was beautiful, hot tub lovely and service attentive.

The food was really well cooked, served and presented. Although I appreciate the restaurant may not be trying to attain Michelin status their pricing is in line with that market. Recent visits to Le Champignon Sauvage

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the kind and thoughtful staff at the Fish Hotel for my stay with my partner in September 2018. It was his birthday and without requesting the staff recognised this from our booking and wrote a little note for him wishing him a happy birth

Booked in for afternoon tea, three adults and one child. Before arrival I telephoned to ensure I could order a child friendly portion of afternoon tea which I was assured, there would be a child’s afternoon tea on offer!
Upon arrival we were met by a member of staff who showed

We visited ‘Hook’ at the fish hotel after being in awe of the pictures we saw on Instagram and to the most part we weren’t disappointed. Great service, great fish and great ideas. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was lovely and the setting was beautiful. The bacon from the

Having spent a night at the Fish hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday, I just wanted to write a review about how incredible a place this is. A special thank you to the manager Tom, who went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable stay. We stayed in one of the Tree Houses. T

Are the hot tubs in the hilly huts completely private? Also the beds look small in the pics, what size beds are they?
Hi, book the further most hut at the bottom of the track if you want 100% Hot Tub privacy. As you walk past The Huts to get to yours. We stayed in the converted barns but went to view the Shepherds Huts.

Are the TreeHouses properly grounded? What happens in a thunderstorm?
They do rock a fair bit when you walk across the bridge onto the deck; I was concerned about this and happened to bump into a 'technical' member of staff who assured me this was normal and that it was well secured. I don't know what would happen in a thunderstorm - if there's lightning, I suppose there will always be some degree of risk of damage to the treehouse! In heavy rain on our third morning there was no movement despite the ground being very soggy.

What is the dress code in restaurant?
Folks were dressed nicely ( no tie!) for the Restaurant & ‘smart Casual ‘ would work!

Hi! We’re a family of 2 adults and our 2 year old toddler. It’s our first fam trip to the UK, and was wondering if a baby crib/cot would be provided? As well as high chairs in your restaurant or dining areas? Which room would be best for our family? Thank u!
Nothing was too much trouble so I imagine they would look after you well. Why not email them. I know they are very good if you have a dog, so imagine children would be welcomed.

Hi Has anyone stayed in a Hilly hut when the weather is really hot. Do they become really hot to sleep? Looking at booking 4 nights in June. Last time I booked a hotel for my hubby's birthday it was a really hot weekend which was great but the rooms at the hotel we were staying at were very hot so I sort of made a promise to him then that if we went away for his birthday again, I'd book a hotel with air con. But am really tempted to book one of these hilly huts.
Hi, although we stayed in a Hilly Hut last weekend, it was very mild and the heating is under floor so we turned it off. The one we had (number 4) was quite shaded in amongst the trees so I would think only the deck and hot tub might actually be in direct sunlight. There was a large fan in the hut too. The staff are so lovely, I'm sure they'd do everything possible to help if it was very warm!
