We have visited Broadway many times over the years, and walked past the Lygon Arms many times, always thought how nice it would be to stay there. We like historic buildings very much, and it was the building that fascinated us more than the fact is was a hotel. This year we decided, was the year to book a night...

The hotel was very busy on arrival, so I parked in a nearby pub. Staff offered to collect my car from the pub and bring it to the hotel! This level of service was matched by every member of staff. The food in the restaurant was superb, as was breakfast the following day. After dinner, sitting in one of the...

Tried to book on several (5) different dates, all out of the normal rush hrs and dates, but could not get a time where both my wife and I could get the same time slot for our treatments. This meant that we would have to wait around an hour each whilst the other had their treatments. This seemed the only...

Dear GspotJulian, Thank you for the lengthy and descriptive review of The Lygon Arms and it is great to read that we certainly hit the spot during your recent visit. It certainly sounds like the massage therapist did as requested, but I have told them to take note if the client expresses discomfort during their treatment. Kind regards Colin Heaney...

Having walked out of the Boradway Hotel. I went across the street to the Lygon Arms. The building is magnificent and the nooks and crannies of small lounges is great the Great Hall is a special place to dine and would wholeheartedly recommend it. However they wanted £240 dinner bed and breakfast. I offered the £170 to the receptionist. She...

Visited this hotel as a birthday celebration and we were very much looking forward to a relaxing break. The hotel car park was the first hiccup as the main car park was full with cars which appeared to have been there for a very long time!!!! (not just a visit) The overflow car park was also very full--cannot believe that...

This hotel is a beautiful old building with history. Broadway is a beautiful town and well worth a visit and the hotel is positioned fantastically in the town. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful. Our room and bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast amazing catering for any requirements and the food in the Resteraunt beautifully prepared and presented. The scones for afternoon tea were also so delicious. Thank you to all for a wonderful stay.

An excellent hotel in Broadway with every comfort for an overnight stay on a100+ mile walk. Attentive staff, good size room with all we required. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
