This was our second visit to the Lygon Arms and we were yet again impressed. The room was stunning and the staff were superb at making us feel so welcome. The hotel is in the lovely village of Broadway and within easy access to some delightful sights the Cotswolds has to offer. Truly relaxing.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 1 week ago via mobile

Myself and my partner stayed at the Lygon Arms as an Easter treat. Everything about the stay met and exceeded our expectations. All the staff we encountered were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We paid for some treatments in the hotel spa and thoroughly enjoyed them. The lady who did our treatments was so nice and chatty, and...

A beautiful hotel that is full of character. We stayed for three nights to celebrate my wife's birthday, and we could not fault the place in any way. The staff were, without exception, wonderful- even placing a birthday card in our room for my wife. My niece rang the hotel to arrange for a bottle of wine to be left...

My husband & I recently stayed at this lovely hotel for one night. We arrived earlier than expected & were very pleased that we were able to check in. After lunch in one of the many local cafes we returned to the hotel & my husband decided to visit the spa. He enjoyed spending about an hour there but commented...

We booked a couple of days away for the above and were booked into the Lygon Arms on a package that icluded fruit, chocs and Champagne in our room on arrival. The staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our room which was satisfactory. However we did not sleep well due to the proximity of a/c outlets on...

I recently stayed at The Lygon Arms and can't commend it highly enough. The room was fabulous, food in the Great Hall restaurant excellent but, more importantly, all the staff we came across were amazing, so friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again in future. A Lowry

Had a fabulous stay thanks to a super receptionist, Jana (apologies if this isn't spelled correctly!) who was wonderful and so helpful. The old part of the hotel is beautiful and we couldn't fault the cleanliness nor the staff who were on duty. Don't be put off by the reservations team on the end of the phone. When I spoke...

Lovely hotel made even better by an upgrade! Spa offers excellent massage. Very good breakfast. Ate out for dinner. Major refurbishment underway. But appears to be tastefully done. Helpful and friendly staff.

We stayed here just before Easter and were delighted with the hotel, staff and overall service. Staff were very welcoming and provided an excellent service. Hotel has so much character that is hard to find these days and it would seem the hotel is determined to enhance this. Cannot find any faults at all. Amazing place!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
