We had room 8 which is a small double on the first floor overlooking the street. Could have done with a bit more storage space. The bathroom was clean but we were a bit surprised that the shower gel was not replaced on the second morning. Our stay included a Friday night but we heard very little noise from the...

We had a very nice room on the first floor which the lovely bay window looked out onto the main street & the nightclub opposite, which being Sunday night was closed. Nice large room with sofa & an armchair, tea, coffee, biscuits & an apple each all for £46. More tea bags & milk happily given. Very friendly staff who...

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend. The first thing that I would like to say is that the reception staff are absolutely outstanding. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fine, the beds were very clean; however, there were some aspects of the room that needed attention. In...

This was the first stop in a multi-week trip and it was not a good start. I booked this hotel knowing it would be a very basic stay, which was fine with us as we only needed a place to sleep for two nights as we visited the surrounding area. We looked at reviews on TripAdvisor before booking, and after...

This hotel was ok. I stayed in room 8 which overlooked the street. It was small double room, but big enough for me, and the bathroom was clean. City Lodge is about a 10 min walk from the station, but very close the the main town area, and I did not have any problems finding my way around. I was...

Arrived early, but hotel happy to store our luggage. Returned a few hours later, given room key. Pleasantly surprised by the room. Fairly compact but enough space for a couple of nights. Very clean and comfy....shocking view of the wall from the window lol. Bottled water, fresh fruit, biccies, tea & coffee all supplied. Told by reception that we just...

Dont get a room over looking the street. Window are sealed so no fresh air (contravenes Building Regulations). Complained about the noise from the nightclub opposite & was offered earplugs. Enough said.

This hotel has provided me with my worst experience to date. I needed one night in Salisbury with a good night's sleep. I had Room 7 at the front of the hotel which is opposite a night club. The website states there are bars near to the hotel but has excellent double glazing. Don't believe it! The queues of noisy...
