I booked a budget room, so it was simply a bedroom with a sink, and use of a shared toilet and shower. The price was really good for the location and the quality of the accommodation, given it included breakfast as well. I was round...More

Stunning place, great on the eye and the breakfast was really good. Unfortunately I booked a room and hadn’t realised you share a toilet that was ridiculously far away from my room, I also had to share a shower that seemed to be in need...More

Booked 2 nights, room is basic and admittedly a little dated but immaculately clean and although dated everything has been well looked after. I have read the few poor reviews and to be honest the snobbery saddens me because Sarum College are offering fantastic priced...More

About
Description
Stay in historic buildings within the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral Close. Sarum has 40 en-suite rooms, some with stunning views of the Salisbury Cathedral and the rooftops of the Close. Rooms not More used by students and conference guests are let for bed and breakfast. There are also a small number of very modest rooms with shared facilities for those on a tight budget. Sarum's central location is a five-minute walk from High Street shops, cafes and the charter market. Excellent cultural venues within the Close include Salisbury Museum and Mompesson House, while Salisbury Playhouse, Salisbury Arts Centre and dozens of restaurants and pubs lie just beyond its medieval walls. Return to the Close with your own gate key, knowing you are among the privileged few to stay in what Bill Bryson described as England's 'most beautiful space'. The train station is about a 15-minute walk away (5 minutes by taxi). Direct trains to London are about an hour and 20 minutes. Less
