Strong warm welcome as always, chatty and personable staff, varied menu & great food which was both well cooked and presented. I see other bad reviews & this has surprised me, personally we have only ever had a really good experience & the staff can't do enough to help, we are tending to use this pub for family get togethers...

Rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce. Smothered in the sauce with some onions etc ruined the steak which was very thin and any taste disguised by the sauce which flooded the plate. No peas available we had cress and some other green veg which was not very edible. Burger for other member of our group was apparently very good.

Went to the New Inn tonight quietly to celebrate our Silver Wedding. Really impressed with the standard of service and the very well prepared food. We will definitely be back and would recommend to others.

We were freezing cold having traipsed around shopping(the married mans burden!) looked around for somewhere for lunch out of the rain. How about the new inn we haven't been there for donkeys years. Friendly staff welcomed us and we sat in a toasty room just off one of the bars. We both choose the burger and fries, simple but well cooked and...

We love coming here to eat, we have mainly eaten outside through the summer, such a lovely courtyard and views of the cathedral. But now through the winter we have ventured inside, log fires and such a warmly atmosphere. Now to the food!!! We have tried quite a bit from the menus and have never been disappointed! But our most...

This is a great place to have a few pints. Staff were friend and service quick. The building that the pub is in is clearly old... low ceilings, narrow doorways. It was a bit chilly during my visit to Salisbury and there was a nice fire roaring. Very cozy pub to grab a few pints!

Dropped in to Salisbury on the way back from Stonehenge and as it was after half past one, we decided to eat. Without checking Tripadvisor we asked the man in the office of the multi storey car park who suggested the New Inn. Great recommendation. Three lunchtime specials of the chicken and bacon pie, cauliflower cheese and dauphinois potatoes, all...
