The location of this hotel is great ! Greatness stops there ! From the outside this hotel looks crisp and features a large car park. The reception area is very tired with peeling ceiling paper and oddments of furniture but we were greeted very professionally and informed that our room had been upgraded, I do not know why. The room...

Stayed over on business. Fair price for B&B. Bedroom was pleasant enough and facilities as expected. Great spot with outside door onto riverside lawn. Rest of hotel felt tired, with poor state of decor in reception area. Small bar was only intermittently manned. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory without being particularly noteworthy.

Just returned from a four day break at the Grasmere Hotel. When you arrive in the very spacious car park ( a big bonus) you are faced with a beautiful building exactly as shown on-line covered with huge hanging flower baskets and stunning grounds. If you're looking for modern this isn't the place for you but if you are looking...

A good place to stay when you are in the Salisbury area. Lots of free parking and easy to find. Breakfast is available at an additional cost . If you have allot of luggage request a room on a lower floor. No lift at this hotel.

After a trip to the local night life was asked to pay for the room in the middle of the night after a supposed noise complaint...needless say won't be returning. The place itself is worn out and tired not to sure who it aimed at but there are nice views and the surrounding area nice with plenty of places to...

This hotel is in a wonderful area, but the decor and entrance lets this hotel down. On the entrance is a plaque stating seven years ago this was a winner of best loved hotels. Well then they should keep this up.

Not a great experience, nothing horrendously ,major but an awful lot of little thinmgs which really let this place down. Special occasion so booked a special room, it was fine on the surface but somebody needs to implement a maintenance plan. Broken window catches, shaving socket not grouted into the tiles, bathroom door paint flaking and tea tray cracked with...

Nice place, lovely staff but when booking for quiet weekend away because you've had a long week, you don't expect to be confronted with a wedding, can't sit at bar because of all kids running around, your comments not taken on board. Also drinks loung taken up by wedding so took drinks back to room, then the boom boom boom of...

Arrival was easy and check in straightforward. My room was very pleasant with a lovely view of the gardens overlooking the river. The shower was powerful and easy to use. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely - all set out as self serve with plenty of choice.

My husband and I booked this wonderful hotel for a two night getaway. It was a last minute decision so we were unsure what to expect. We received a lovely warm welcome from the young man on the reception desk, the room was great ,breakfast delicious and waiting staff nice and friendly.
