First time I have visited this hotel. I turned up at reception and was greeted by a friendly lady, I asked straight away if I could extend my stay by and extra night which was no trouble. I had a fairly large room looking out over the fields the river and a pleasant view of Salisbury Cathedral . The room...

My room was large but very scruffy. Badly in need of modernisation and redecoration. The bathroom on the other hand was spacious and with a powerful walk in shower. Public areas are depressing. The restaurant appears to be an empty space they found to line up some tables and chairs in. The chicken dish I had for dinner was absolutely...

Having stayed before some years ago we were attending a special party. We had a lovely evening not because of the hotel but because of why we were there We were underwhelmed by the reception area which was very tired and hadn't been updated. The same could be said of the which could not keep up with the modest demands...

Stayed on Saturday with quite short notice, Michael the manager was super helpful with sorting a room for my family, the room was very spacious and clean, we had evening meal which was also great and the children were offered a more appealing menu to them. Food came out quickly, due to arriving late we left with our puddings up...

Although perhaps rather past its best and in need of some redecoration, the hotel is very inviting - and with a truly outstanding view of the magnificent Cathedral, just a few hundred yards away, past the extensive lawns and the meanders of the rivers Avon and Nadder, just below the windows of the dining rooms. We were in a room...

This hotel was picked for it's convenience to the city. Plenty of off streeet parking and only a few miutes walk into town. We had a lovely large room overlooking the grounds and the river with a view of the cathedral. The service was good and the room had everything we wanted in it. The only down side to a...

We were a prebooked party of 6 - lived in the area for ever, but never been here. It was a beautiful sunny day and the location of this hotel is it's best asset - wonderful gardens going down to the river and view of the Cathedral. Our table was laid up in a different room to the one I...

Stayed at the Grasmere House Hotel for one night while visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury. It is well located and 5 minutes away from Salisbury historical centre by car. Had a lovely view of the river and Salisbury cathedral from our room. The hotel is situated in a historic building and there is no lift installed. Lugging the luggage up two...

I stayed here for one night with 3 children aged 8,11 and 15. The large car park meant no parking problems. I was met by a smart professional receptionist who made check-in quick and easy. My room was set up correctly for the kids with a huge double bed and very nice bathroom to boot! I found this to be...

We booked on the 'spring break' package which was a great deal for Afternoon tea, dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival the hotel looks impressive, and the check-in was good. We asked about our afternoon tea and was advised it was set up for us in the lounge. Our party of 6 took our seats at the table with teacups...
