overall all was ok. All a bit over effort from staff and the Italian restaurant is just far too much. Stacks of staff, limited menu and not worth the money. Lasagne tasted shop bought - definitely not home made. Risotto ok but lacking in something special and pizza out of a box more or less. Expensive. Argument over bill when...

Stayed for one night for a family christening nearby in Kirkby Overblow. Ate in restaurant but food was average and overlooked. Staff did not have knowledge what gins were available. Breakfast high point was fresh orange juicer machine but low point was staff not knowing that smoked haddock was a breakfast option! Eventually I got my smoked haddock and poached...

This hotel provides a reasonable service but has some shortcomings. BOOKING I booked by telephone and the process was reasonably easy. ARRIVAL The hotel is easy to find but difficult access from the dual carriageway. Care needs to be exercised when visiting for the first time. RECEPTION The staff member was pleasant and efficient. There could have been greater assistance...

This was our base to do the Emmerdale outdoor tour (which is very good, even for non believers like me). Hotel is great 8/10. Lots of free parking (even on weekend when sporting events going on in nearby pitches). Warm welcome at reception, whole place looks clean tidy and bright. "Convive" restaurant just recently opened, was very nice and excellent...

Just got back from a 1 night stay at this hotel. On first impressions the hotel is very grand and is set in lovely grounds however we struggled to find a car park due to a hockey match being played in the neighbouring field. We booked a superior double and request an upper floor room if available. Check in was...

We have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. We were on the first floor on this occasion and the first thing I noticed was the fan in the bathroom which was quite noisy and continuous. When I closed the bathroom door I could not hear it so no problem, When I got into bed after a busy day...

Arrived after a long day and two plane journeys to be told they couldn't honour the booking and moved us to an inferior hotel. To top it off, told us that they had some rooms but were keeping them for more important customers.

I stayed in a superior room which was tiny and overcrowded. Massive desk and two wardrobes. It was clean though. Major problem was the temperature. Even with the fan on and windows open it was unbearably hot. It was impossible to sleep, relax, or get ready comfortably. I reported it to reception but they dismissed it. Secondly the WiFi was...
