We stayed at 42 The Calls in a family room nearly 20 years ago when it was new. This boutique hotel was very good, the service friendly and first rate. Our children loved it and they will always remember the Smarties on the pillow and the dumb waiter in the room. It was great to be able to stay there...

Wonderful and helpful staff who went out of their way to help when I'd booked the wrong date. Sharon was exceptional and found us a room plus contacted booking.com to help us get a refund for the wrong date we booked. Lovely hotel and room too.

Having stayed at the hotel s few times we thought we would return however sadly it seems to be in need of s little TLC the whole place is just starting to look tired and appears a little smelly, the bedrooms are clean but again in need of a makeover. Breakfast time was busy and the kitchen really struggled to...

Nice quirky hotel. The check in was efficient but not to friendly. No how are you , have you come far or how was your journey. I know its only words but a friendly first impression has to be a good thing .We did get offered a glass of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. So maybe wine is better...

Quirky rooms some overlooking the river. Not the normal business type got but with all the necessities. Great breakfast even for vegetarians. More tv channels would be useful but not much else to fault . Staff are very friendly and always helpful.

Wonderful conversion of a historic building with a great warm welcome, including a welcome drink. We had a quiet characterful room overlooking the river with THE most comfortable handmade beds we did not want to go out! The hotel location is perfect being very close to the Corn Exchange and the shopping district with lots of bars and restaurants nearby....

I was just staying one night as I had travelled to Leeds for an awards dinner. The reception was very friendly and I quickly got my room key. The lift took me to the third floor where on opening a rather quirkily designed door I saw the room. It was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also...

We stayed here for 2 nights after finding a good deal online & having stayed here 2 years ago & really enjoyed the welcome, the location & a river view room. Our room this time was lovely albeit noisy on the Friday night due to passing stag/hen dos. The first time we stayed we were greeted by friendly & informative...

I found this hotel somewhat disappointing. The reception area looked fairly nice but the room was very tired. There were a lot of cobwebs around and the place looked like it could do with a good clean and fresh coat of paint. The cupboard for breakfast was quirky but in a dingy corner, not sure I would want any food...
