This was my first visit to this hotel, although I am a regular visitor to Leeds and so know the competition quite well. From a distance, this looks like a very good hotel, with a top-hatted concierge ready to greet you and escort you up the red carpet into the large reception area. However, the closer you get, the more...

We are great fans of art deco buildings and had been recommended The Queens by two friends who have previously stayed. The hotel itself is situated next to the understated but pleasing 1930s railway station and good for all central amenities, shopping, and sight-seeing. There was some road noise, but nothing to worry about, as the secondary glazing blocks most...

We have stayed at the the Queens hotel on a number of occasions & have received exceptional service. The hotel is stunning to look at & is conveniently located in the city centre, less than a minutes walk from the train station. Stayed here on a business trip recently and was very impressed with it. The staff, public areas and rooms were very smart, welcoming and tidy. It is a very authentic old world hotel that has managed to keep the original art deco features but move into modern day.( Think Poirot). I love the lifts! Room was well equipped, but as...

The Queens is a great, traditional hotel, entering is like stepping into the past with a very traditional layout in the lobby, great art deco stylings that are well maintained. The staff are helpful and professional with just the right amount of friendly mixed in adding to the feeling of occassion that comes with staying here. Rooms are large, comfortable...

This is a large hotel which is a listed building very central to Leeds, it is situated at the train station and within a short walk of the new Trinity shopping centre and all the bars and restaurants. Whilst the hotel itself is a listed building and they can't do much with the exterior, so you do get a bit...

“Housekeeping is something you would expect in all hotels. Whilst they do perform a valuable service to your room, long-term visitors may get frustrated by those that move certain items from where you placed, such as putting the bin by the desk rather then its original location by the TV, for example. In addition, they do like to invade between that precious period between you having breakfast and then going back up to grab your things before heading off. Whilst experienced hotel users may put the reversible sign back in until you do leave, you're best off leaving it on the 'Do Not Disturb' to avoid confusion, then changing for housekeeping when you do leave. Despite the housekeeping issues, this is excellent.”
