This very old house needs refurbishment and cleaning. We stayed in the basement room which was damp, dusty and smelled of mildew. The bathroom "closet" was not pleasant and the shower stall is outside the bathroom, open to the room, adding to the humid dampness. The proprietor is a very likable, kind man but the establishment needs a thorough stripping...

We liked: We felt very welcome! Mr. Evens is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful house in a charming village Perfectly located Car park is just behind the house (public) Great breakfast We disliked: Location of the room - it is in the attic which can be reached via a rather narrow and steep set of stairs. For those who have...

We first stayed at Aitches during our honeymoon in 2004 and returned again in the spring of 2008. We showed up both times with no reservations and were given wonderfully comfortable rooms. I was pregnant during our second visit, and the proprietors went out of their way to give us a room with a shower because my doctor had advised...

In February 2009 we booked a 7 night stay for September 2009. A few days before leaving we read the comments on this site and we were concerned about the negative ones. However, on arrival we found David the owner to be most helpful and courteous, helping us with our luggage and advising us about car parking. The room was...

I stayed here with my daughter, aged 13, as a three night trip. It was excellent value, as the third night was free. We had a comfortable room overlooking the high street. Location is excellent - parking is right behind the guesthouse and is plentiful and cheap. I bought a ticket after 6pm, which lasted all night, and for the...

We had the twin room in the cellar and it was fine for one night--very comfortable beds, roomy than we expected, and quaintly in keeping with the rest of Haworth. The best thing about Aitches is definitely the location--just half a block to the Black Bull and White Lion Hotel and the Parsonage. Would definitely stay here again. Good value.

We stayed here with our dog recently and have to agree with previous comments that the place is in real need of a good clean. We were in the "dog room" with our own outside access door, which was actually a very small basement room. It smelt damp, the wallpaper at the back of the bed was coming away, mould...

Thank goodness I ignored previous comments on this guesthouse. We stayed two nights and found it to be fine. The guesthouse is on the main street which takes advantage of great restaurants and access to the moors. I went with my husband two children and mother in law. We all had a great time. The attic room is up a...
