Stayed at this funky hotel for 4 nights (one with family) The hotel is in a great location, 3 min walk from New Street station and part of the Mailbox complex. My room 711 was a great size, but there was pipe noise from plumbing. The bathroom and hotel in general are starting to look a little tired, but still...

Booked for stopover Sunday ,lovely room and meal in the restaurant, great location for shopping and nightlife. Reception staff very polite and helpful ,can't understand why it isn't higher on TripAdvisor and I've stayed in several hotels in Birmingham .

Throughly enjoyed this spa day, the atmosphere was really good the chilling area was cozy and warm, the massage and advice was excellent, we had a meal upstairs with the booking, after some problems with the food and some noisy parties we were adequately compensated. Not too sure we will be rushing back, but the spa was well worth it.

I stayed one night here. The rooms are a reasonable size and I think they've been refurbished recently. Everything worked really well and the team at reception were efficient. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from New Street station which makes it very convenient.

Booked this hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary and it was perfect! Easy check in, friendly staff and rooms were lovely. We didn't eat here as we booked room only but the bar was really cool! Bar staff were efficient and organised, we were also given 2 complimentary cocktails during our stay to celebrate our anniversary which I thought was...

Travelling a lot with work, I spend quite a bit of time in hotels. Plus points are the location which is really good and easy walking distance of the station/central Birmingham and the bed was comfy. Negative was the room which I found to be very dark and a little bit tired.

I gave to say after visiting Birmingham twice in two weeks and staying in to widely different hotels This place is way way above the norm. The rooms although dark were beautifully furnished with huge comfy beds and well equipped bathrooms with luxury products and fluffy towels. The restaurant was superb for dinner, let me mess about with their menu...

So after much deliberation between this hotel and the la tour (both priced at £89 for the night) we chose to book the malmaison purely on the location & design of the hotel as we knew we was dining out else where on the evening so hotel food rating wasn't an issue for us, the hotel was easy to find...

I was here for one night. We had a business meeting here and the hotel is really lovely. I really liked my room...although the view was not great, overlooking other rooms. The bed was very comfy and the room was nicely decorated. The bathroom was also nice, very clean and very generous sized toiletries provided. The small niggle I had...

Husband booked a suite for a surprise wedding anniversary getaway....loved the funky decor of the hotel and bedroom. Lovely large lounge but seems to have a wasted space for a library. Bedroom was fantastic with a really comfortable bed which provided a great nights sleep. Bathroom was quiet dissapointing though, normal bath, shower cubicle and sink along with toilet, would...
