Stayed for one night for business. The hotel was hotel with a fairly large room that overlooked an external stairwell. I had to keep the curtain closed as workmen were up and down the stairs late afternoon. The check-in was a little chaotic with staff unable to find my booking and me having to e-mail them with it, it was...

The men at reception spoke perfect Brummie slang. Almost impossible to understand for a foreign. Would prefer English. Air condition was set to +15, and it was freezing for quite a while. Bed was good and that is the most important.

Disappointed as at first appearance hotel looked promising. I had a second floor room facing the pedestrian precinct. Room was very warm and air conditioning would only go as low as 18 degrees. However main comment that from around 1 until 4 am there was constant noise from outside with drunken revellers in the area outside. The hotel does not...

Waited 15 mins at reception to be checked in. Stayed in room 212 more like a cell than a room although the bathroom was ok. Came back in the evening at 23.00 to find a private do on with loud music which kept us awake until 1.00am. Breakfast ok. If I stayed again would ask for a room overlooking the...

Stayed Midweek in room on the 2nd floor backing on to New Street Station. If you were a train spotter you would love this. You can hear the train announcements with excellent clarity from around 5.30am along with the various street cleaners, tram bells and garbage trucks. Don't expect a good nights sleep. The hotel is also very tired and in...

It has one big advantage though. Location. Its right opposite the train station (And you do not hear trains at all from our 4th floor corner room having one side facing the station) plus the area is right in the centre with 5 minutes walk to the Bullring Shopping Centre, the Cathedral, the Museum and much more. We were here...

The hotel is next to New Street station, so a very convenient location. The room was comfortable and clean. We didn't have breakfast, it was very expensive. I recommend going to Yorks', a popular breakfast place 3 minutes walk away.

We stayed on a Sunday night for a meeting on Monday. Food was excellent. The waiter explained everything on the menu well. Rooms a little tired looking but lovely toiletries. Breakfast was a bit sparse and tasted value beans and sausages. Staff all welcoming and friendly. Across the road from new street. Would stay again.

The staff are fab at 'The Burlington' and will always go the extra mile to help you and make feel like a VIP. The concierge helped to advise us which mode of transport was best to use from the city centre to the NEC and even printed out a map & train times. A taxi would cost £60 return, whereas...
