We were up in Birmingham for a friend's birthday and chose the Ibis New Street using Happy Mondays - £25 a night is an absolute bargain for this clean and comfortable hotel. Location is great - less than 10 minutes walk from both New Street and Moor Street stations and lots of nightlife close by (if you like that sort...

The staff and reasonably friendly and the room quite pleasant, however in my room I could hear all sounds in the corridor; doors closing, people talking and I could hear the people in the rooms next to me. At about midnight I was awoken by the full contious thudding of the bass from the surrounding clubs! This continued until 5am...

The Ibis City Centre is bang in the middle of Chinatown on a one-way street. Access by car is not that simple and it was easy to miss the entrance to the hotel car park. Our room was typical Ibis – maybe a bit smaller than usual. The toilet/shower suite was certainly very small indeed. We didn’t sleep very well...

Stayed here on business and was pleasantly surprised. It is a really modern hotel with a handy car park underneath( £12 per night parking fee but car is totally safe there) the room was comfortable and modern. It was quiet and I had a good nights sleep. It is walking distance from the Bullring and New Street station and is...

Staff very nice, room (446) very basic and at the end of corridor on top floor above the busiest and nosiest bar area one could imagine. Cannot believe they booked a family into this room. Loudest music booming out until 3:30am! Don't expect any sleep.
