I wanted low-cost accommodation for one night for a group and to be based in Digbeth (which is also really handy for city centre). This fitted the bill perfectly. We expected it to be basic and it was. We also expected it to be noisy, which it wasn't - other guests very considerate and the area itself quite quiet. We...

Loved my stay here. Good price with good location and close to the station. Good atmosphere especially the living room. Basic hostel, but rooms were clean. Staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Warning, please avoid that hostel ! Ive been in the hostel for a night and the man on the reception woke me up at 5am in the morning asking to go together into another room . He has been drunk and bothered me till 6am in a morning. He has sexual intentions and violence and as soon as I've gone...

Checked in quite late, hostel let's you check in up until midnight with 24/7 reception. The guys on reception were so friendly and helpful. I was in the second building, very good heating as it was cold there. Stayed in a female dorm but none of my room mates wanted to interact and were either sat with headphones in or...

We wanted something cheap for a night and close to the centre. This is the best place for it. The staff was really helpful and chatty, we had some time with them in the main room, having a cup of tea, and everyone seemed to get on well with them The people working seems like a family and they seem...

The hostel was clean and it had good beds comfort wise, although the room was really dark and seemed very run down. The location is a good location, although you are in the middle of an industrial estate so it feels quite dodgy. The women on the desk we're quite rude to us, one worded answers, etc. Another thing that...

Location is dodgy, but pretty central, nothing to complain about. Breakfast was hostel like and free, just like the all-day coffee. I've seen worse bathrooms and lounge and rooms were ok. 1 letdown is no 24h reception. 2nd: the PODs are more like coffins. Sold as fancy japanese style cabin with 360 degree light (whatever that's supposed to mean). Climbed...

I am probably older than the usual people who stay here so I may have higher standards but other than the girl on reception who was lovely, the rest of the accommodation was awful. Our room was dark and dingy, the curtain was hanging from the rail so couldn't be pulled across. There were two women having a loud conversation...

The Birmingham Backpackers hostel is only a few minutes walk away from Birmingham Coach station and only 10 or so minutes walk away from Birmingham City Centre. So it is in a good location if someone is travelling by coach and is planning on visiting Birmingham City Centre as well. The atmosphere in the hostel is laid back, and the...
