We booked this as a getaway treat after a busy few months.. The drive up to the mansion looked very promising lovely long drive, old chapel and amazing mansion.. however it all got quite disappointing from the check in. Check in was awkward staff not exactly friendly and just spieled off Spa and room directions as if reading from a...

We visited wroxall abbey , as part of a Christmas present, on 19/1/17 . We didn't know what to expect but on arrival was stunned by how beautiful it looked. The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant . We stopped in a standard mansion room, not sure what that meant, but the room was large and comfortable with a...

I booked this hotel through Wowcher for my finance's Christmas present, we stayed here for one night on Monday 16th January. The staff very kindly sent me a postcard when I booked as I requested something I could wrap up that could be opened on Christmas Day. It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel as the directions...

We had a great deal with the two night Celebration Package which included Champagne tea on arrival, 7 course tasting meal, 3 course evening meal and two breakfasts - all for under £250 ! Beautiful grounds and lovely hotel. The bonus was an upgrade to a twin aspect suite looking across the grounds and the cathedral - what a treat....

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights just after New year. The staff were an absolute delight. Check in carried out efficiently and with a warm smile. Staff in the bar where we had some food whilst waiting for our rooms were equally friendly and helpful. The disaster was the evening meal. We were told that a menu would...

We only stayed for one night, but the service was excellent, the room clean and well appointed, and the breakfast great. The house and gardens are beautiful, and the bar well stocked! We would definitely stay again.

Below is an extract from a letter of complaint I have written to the hotel. I am still yet to even receive an acknowledgement of my letter! • We arrived at 4pm to be assigned room 83. When we entered the room, it was clear that it had not been made up since the previous guests left. We returned to...

My family and I went for a three day break to celebrate new year, the hotel was in a beautiful setting. The receptionist was helpful and the room was clean and quiet. On the Friday night we all met up in the bar and was given the menu for us to select our meals which we did and we sat...

New venue for our Motor Club's annual bash and it proved to be highly successful with great feedback from fellow members. Staff were a bit short handed, so flexibility and service suffered a little, although individuals were, on the whole, polite and helpful. Individual dining was first class, communal dining a little less so, but perfectly acceptable for our function....
