We were looked after beautifully by our host Ann. The house has all the charm of a Rectory. We slept soundly and were served a top notch breakfast with real coffee. The house has a traditional feel. Full marks.

Loved staying here with my partner, we were greeted right away and the owners were really friendly. I am heavily pregnant and was made to feel very welcome. We stayed in the Shakespear Suite which was lovely, love the 4 poster bed - I couldn't try the spa bath with being pregnant but my partner did! We had a wedding...

I am so sorry about your booking. It is the first time I have ever been late and I am sorry that it happened. I was half an hour late except on the phone I had said I might be 5 pm. I waited all evening for you as I thought you had gone for a meal. I had got...

The Old Rectory is a charming Bed and Breakfast. We had a lovely stay. We literally slept and then ate breakfast and left but the time we spent there was enjoyable. We had the Charlotte suite which had a double bed, a single bed and room for our travel cot. In the room there was also tea and coffee, TV,...

We had a lovely stay here. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. We ordered our breakfast when we arrived, there was a good choice. The room was lovely, bed was very comfy. TV, tea and coffee facilities, we ran out and got more no problem. Despite being near a main road we didn't hear a thing. Close to Stratford and...

When we arrived we were eventually greeted (in the broadest sense of the word) by the daughter, no introduction, no polite conversation, just silence unless we directly asked her a question, she only spoke voluntarily to ask us to fill in forms and when we commented on something smelling nice we were abruptly told they had eaten it all (don't...

This sounded an amazing place and the photos of it looked fabulous, situated in the countryside with such a history of it's own. Unfortunately it was tired, dusty, with crumbs all over the floor in my room. To top it all the breakfast (cooked English) was cold and not as I'd asked. Not worth £90 I paid...have stayed in far...

We have stayed at The Old Rectory before and were very impressed. However, our stay this time was disappointing. On arrival the owner / staff ? did not introduce themselves, so we had no idea who we were speaking to. We were shown to our room, which had no soap in the bathroom, one pillow each, although the tea and...

The old owners have sold on and the new owners have a lot to live up to. Our room, Stable Block 7, was extremely cold over the Easter weekend. Central heating was not on, just an electric heater provided, which when plugged in, was quite inadequate. While the bathroom has been updated, with the provision of a heated towel rail,...

“On past experience, Stable block 6 and 7 are not a good option. (they both look good from the pictures but the reality is much different) Maybe in the summer Stable block 7 would be ok. The main bedroom window to 6 & 7 overlook the car park, so not a good view. However, Stable block 7 does have a door to the garden, which is very pretty. No escaping noise from the car park because of their location.”
