Lovely hotel in very nice surroundings but service was atrocious from beginning to the end. The only positive point was excellent golf course and nice people. Sent to wrong room bar slow and food very average. Blame the hotel management rather than the staff

Stayed here for a spa break which included evening meal and breakfast. Hotel itself is lovely and the grounds beautiful. The spa and it's facilities was great. Had a facial, massage and manicure and my husband had a facial. Spa was very busy. Staff were great and very pleasant. Out room was OK but looked a little dated and the...

The setting and spa facilities are super. Lovely sitting rooms We found all of the staff polite, friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Grounds around hotel pleasant and we were within ( on a nice day and good shoes) walking distance of Stratford over the fields and through quiet area of town.

I was bought a spa day for mothers day and this was my first visit to this establishment. First impressions were great, all the staff were friendly and approachable and we had a nice welcome. The facilities were good and there was a lovely calm atmosphere. We had a cream tea at lunch which was very generous. We also had...

we managed to get a really good deal on a an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. We arrived and were taken back with how beautiful the place was, our four poster room was immaculate. Dinner and breakfast were good, croissants at breakfast were a bit disappointing but otherwise fine. The thing that stood out for us was the service,...

This could be a really excellent hotel if they just staffed up for peak times! We booked through booking.com and paid for an upgrade for a "room with a view". Unfortunately we didn't get one, but did get a room in the main house which had plenty of character. (If a little small) We were there over Easter which is...

Dear John H, Thank you for your kind review which I will share with the team. We look forward to you returning to the hotel soon when hopefully this time you can take a...

The hotel is very grand and the grounds beautiful and rooms well equipped (although tea/coffee making facilities consisted of a few packets of Nescafé and PG tips - a couple of herbal teas would be nice). The check in staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant really let it down. It was disorganised and badly run. We had to...

I booked the The Welcombe late last year as part of a birthday treat for my partner. Due to error on my behalf we arrived a day earlier than I had booked. The hotel itself is wonderful. A fantastic building full of character and located minutes away from Stratford-Upon-Avon town centre and The RSC Theatre (the purpose of the trip)....

Stayed at the welcome over easter as birthday treat husband ordered champagne flowers and chocolates, flowers and champagne great but £10 for two chocolates was excessive. Room toilet ran all the time and side of bath looked dirty and had failed for the star rating very poor. Plenty of staff not sure what they did as service rather slow and...

Nice hotel in great location. Food was definatley NOT 2rosetted. Wouldn't even give it one. It was just plain cooked meal with no effort. Risotto was tasteless as was the soup. Buttered side veg had no butter and as plain as day. Wife's meat dish was just plain and tasteless. Desert was a preformed meringue with cream. The customer should...
