Absolutely awful stay from the word go! One staff member was lovely on arrival but the rest were rude and had poor attitudes. We had to change rooms as the first we were offered did not even have a light fitted and didn't even have a blind so there was no privacy what so ever. I do not have one... More

Dunno where to start, the whole place smells like it hasn't been aired out in years, the toilets are basically gross portaloos, the first two showers I tried turned the light off on me after 5 seconds until the 3rd stayed lit but then was clogged so after the 2 minutes it took to wash my hair I was standing... Seriously, like I knew it was very basic but seeing as we only needed a clean place we could get some sleep before an early flight and we were on a budget we thought why not. BIG MISTAKE! Neither was it clean nor did we get any sleep. Beds are a plank of ply wood with a 2 inch mattress... More

Might as well have slept on the floor outside. Bed was hard, room tiny, everywhere dirty! Toilets like aeroplane toilets and very very dirty. Didn't even sit down they were that disgusting. Didn't bother showering because I probably would have ended up more dirty than before I went in. Tv barely worked and only one plug socket in the whole... More

This hotel is very much a no thrill's place, with shared toilet and showers (although there are plenty for each floor). The staff are friendly and they have free WiFi and parking. The hotel is clean enough, although if you are obsessive you will find something, at the end of the day would I say there again?, Yes, most likely... More

Metro Inns is cheap and not far from the city centre. The rooms are prison style with everything attached to the wall. £50 deposit on arrival wasn't made clear when booking, however was not a problem as we got it returned. Shared toilets and showers were clean, towels and bedding were also clean but very poor quality. Not a terrible... More

Very cheap to stay! If you just need somewhere to sleep for the night and have very little money to spare then this will do. However, the rooms are old, unclean (unidentified stain on the sheets!!) and dark. There is also shared bathrooms in the majority of the rooms, which are fairly basic and unclean! The rooms are however warm,... More

NEVER EVER THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! At the weekend there me and my friends had booked the Metro Inns Newcastle, upon arriving at this "hotel" we were extremely disappointed by the sheer dive of the hotel. Not only the quality but the very poor customer service. I have never been to a place like it and I have... More
