This review is not concerned with the quality of the hotel. It is concerned with how I was erroneously charged over £200 pounds for someone else's stay. This was rather alarming for me to see on my bank statement as my own stay was supposed to charge little more than £50. From the very start of contacting the hotel concerning...

As a rule we don't respond to reviews, but in this instance, we feel it is necessary. We can confirm that there was a staff error and an over charging, which we were extremely apologetic for. Of course, the guest was instantly refunded and offered a free night's stay in one of the premium rooms, as a gesture of goodwill...

Great rooms. Comfortable beds and lovely people. Would stay again. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the town centre in the suburb of Jesmond, this is a lovely area full of great shops and architecture. It's also quiet and means a great night's sleep can be had

The hotel is based in an Edwardian house full of quirky artefacts and furnishings, facing a church and a green and is located around the corner from Jesmond Dene, which is an urban country park. We stayed in Room 9 which overlooked the church. The room was elegantly furnished and utterly delightful. Plenty of tea and both hot chocolate and...

After having two children in two years (yes I'm a little crazy) my first night off mama duties and a trip away was made even more amazing by this beautiful hotel! Like all girls I've secretly dreamt of entering Disney's world and receiving the princess treatment, The Rosebery didn't let me down. The most beautiful, grandiose (and comfortable!) bed awaited...

Stayed here so we could have a weekend Christmas shopping. I'd double booked myself so it we couldn't get there till late. We spoke to someone in the phone who explained how we could check in as no one would be about at 10:30 This was great and really helpful. When we got there the room was beautiful and the...

I stayed just one night when on a short visit to my daughter who is at Uni in Newcastle. I arrived late and knew there would be no-one on reception, therefore phoned earlier in the day and talked to a very helpful lady who sent an email with detailed instructions on how to get in and obtain my room key...

Great stay in this quirky and fun hotel that is a million miles away from run of the mill! Surrounded by objects d'arts and sherbet lemons, you soon realise that this something different. Had a family room that was plenty big enough and served as our dining room for our buffet breakfast which was novel and well thought out. Staff...

The hotel is a delight. Very shabby chic with beautiful vintage furniture completing the ambience, which was lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful and happy to make some excellent suggestions for wonderful places to eat. They could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable and we would definitely recommend to our friends and return when next in...

It’s birthday time again and whenever our birthday falls on a week night we always choose to stay within an hour of home. Some may find this a little odd but we both love the North East. For just one night we relinquish the title of mummy and daddy and embrace being Suzanne and Richard. SO was it daddy or...
