What can I say, right from the moment of booking this hotel to the end of our stay we were so very impressed. Stayed at The Vermont Hotel whilst having a night away for a friends birthday. On arrival the car park was full which meant a pay and display car park right outside the hotel, which the of duty...

We choose this Hotel on the same evening we stayed . This was due to a flood in our property. It was amazing. Luxury on our doorstep. Staff very friendly. Very clean. Very central. Could not fault it. We are now booked in for a special occasion coming up in April.

Afternoon tea is usually seen as a treat for ladies, hence sweet treats seem to outweigh any savoury servings. However, here at the Vermont the 'gentlemans' version is a fabulous alternative which certainly won over my husband! He was presented with a burger complete with huge onion ring and gherkin and a pint of local ale. Together with the fries...

I stayed here for one night and the room was amazing and smells lush! The staff were really helpful but one member of staff gave me and my partner the wrong information about the breakfast timings and we had pre paid for the breakfast which resulted in us missing out breakfast. So we weren't too pleased but a lovely lady...

This was our first visit to Newcastle and the Vermont was a great choice of hotel. We stayed in a River View room on level 10 and had fantastic views of the Tyne and Millennium Bridges. Afternoon tea in the lounge was lovely and we also enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks in the same comfortable area. Bar service was good although...

The Vermont hotel is very close to the station (and also very close to the train line!) but i really dont remember much noise. Dear Kathie L, Firstly i would like to apologize for the less than perfect experience you feel you had at The Vermont Hotel. Great location, a grand exterior, and friendly staff, but the rooms are dark, drab and tired. The bathrooms are ok. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Few hotels can boast a more enviable city centre postcode than the Vermont Hotel, for this imposing structure is located in the heart of the City of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, not only next to the Castle Keep and opposite the historic Moot Hall, but also just two minutes from Newcastle's Central Station. Combining old character in the form of 1930s grandeur with contemporary elegance and four-star luxury, the landmark building is your base from which to discover the many bars, shops and attractions of the town centre and wider area. Look outside your window and you might see such sights as the River Tyne, Millennium Bridge or stunning cathedral, and it's not the only mark of the sheer inspiration of the Vermont Hotel experience. That's because the reasons for the hotel's reputation become clear with a stay in any one of its sophisticated bedrooms, which are finished in soft relaxing colours while also coming with a wealth of facilities for your pleasure and comfort, including - among others - private en-suite bathrooms, a mini bar and free Internet access. ... more   less
