We were looking for somewhere different to go from our usual haunts and in a different part of the country. We decided on Newcastle as we hadn't been this far in a few years. We looked for different places to stay and in the end settled on this hotel. Yes it is fairly basic, but what more do you need...

Nothing special here, a basic Holiday Inn. And don't hold out for a decent breakfast as you will be disappointed. But I suppose you get what you pay for. But I am sure if the brand did a little research they will find that guest will pay a little more for a little more.

This hotel is more suited to partiers, stag groups etc than to young familes. The hotel lacks baths in all of its room, despite being advertised as having a "bathroom", therefore my young son had to have his first shower (he wasn't impressed). the sofa bed in our room was tatty, ripped and had chewing gum mashed into the cover....

Check-in wasn't particularly fast, but the staff here are very friendly. Our room was your basic British Holiday Inn Express, which is quite different from the US chain--very budget rooms. The bed was comfortable enough and had all non-feather pillows (allergy sufferers thank you!). Unfortunately, the only power outlets were across the room from the bed, making it impossible to...

Stayed here for a single night recently. Booked fairly last minute and paid £63.99 which is I think the going rate for this hotel. Parked easily in the ample free car parking. Check in was fine, was told by the receptionist that we had been allocated twin beds but to her credit as soon as I showed the first sign...

Dear Maccu50 Thanks for posting feedback following your recent stay at the hotel. Staff and accommodation was excellent and would recommend this hotel. The bonus is having a free breakfast and only a short drive or bus ride to the Metro Centre and the Toon. Well done all, will definitely come back again. All areas were very clean and there was always someone to help even the maintenace man.
