The staff was very helpful and breakfast was very good. The carpets looked as though they needed a good clean in the accommodation area, bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean. Parking is extremely limited on-site, it's a public house with rooms - not a hotel

We decided to visit the D & P after seeing the big piece in our local paper promoting the fact that Greene King had invested a 6 figure sum on the refurbishment. Having lived in Bury all my life and visited here hundreds of times, our first question was 6 figures on what ? We eventually got grunted at by...

This is a great place to stay close to town and if you like your beer close to Greene King Brewery !! Food was decent and the room was of a good standard. Breakfast was also very nice. Bury St Edmonds has much to offer, well worth a look.

Wow! Had the rib eye steak with beef dripping gravy.....OMG you just don't want to swallow but hold it in your mouth & relish the amazing taste sensation! Chef is beyond fantastic! 5* is under rated, should be a 10!

It's been a while since I have been here and had a dinner meeting for work. Nice environment and services was OK. I had the sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly medium and the house fries were lovely too. Will come back for dinner again. Thanks

Our first visit to this pub, just for an evening meal before the theatre. Very friendly welcome, efficient service, delicious food, reasonable price. Will definitely go back on another occasion - the lunch menu looks good too!

This is a lovely little travellers inn with a quirky feel because of the old buildings - however the bedrooms are recently updated and very contemporary. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in, somehow soft and firm at the same time. The food was splendid and there was more choice than in...

Very attentive staff , had a lunch and leaving breakfast, all very professional. 3rd year we've stayed on a Newmarket race day. Not so close to the races but lovely country pub/ hotel. Staff extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble, thanks for making it an excellent stay.

Stayed here for one night on business. Room is big as is the bathroom. Received brusque & rude treatment from a member of staff (the manager?) because there was a problem with the booking company. The chap at breakfast was very nice. The breakfast itself was average - coffee served in teapots?? Not worth £100. Won't stay here again.

Spent just one night at the Dog and Partridge, very clean rooms, lovely white bedding. Staff friendly especially the housekeeper who managed to get all our rooms ready early so we could get ready for a wedding. Good breakfast and all at a reasonable price.
