We spent three nights in the attic room (Top) on a visit to this lovely town with friends. Like Aldeburgh itself, Dunan House is full of character and charm - and Simon and Annie were excellent hosts. It is only a short walk to the restaurants and shops, but peacefully located with attractive gardens and views.

We stayed at Dunan House for 3 nights during the last week of the summer holidays. We stayed in the Attic Room (family room) with our 5 year old son which was perfect as he had his own little space to sleep in next to our room. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as was the whole house. The...

We had a very enjoyable stay at Dunan House. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room (Summer) was great and very spacious. Lovely view from the window (front garden) and the shower was really good. Very good breakfast and fresh milk for your drinks in the room. Great location, beautiful walks to Aldeburgh (about 5/10 mins to centre...

We booked a short two night stay in this B&B having looked at some good reviews. Just prior to our break we had a bereavement in the family but decided to go anyway in between the bereavement & the funeral. We spent one night in a 4 star hotel nearby which was lovely & then came on to this B&B....

Jenny - we are very sorry for your bereavement. We are also sorry you found nothing to like here. - We don't know any hotels round here that charge £95 per night. - The room is not dirty and dusty in any significant way. - Sorry about any cobwebs. Those spiders work hard to be one step ahead. - Cat...

We have just returned from a fabulous 8 day stay travelling with friends and staying at this wonderful b & b. Everything about the house, location, rooms, breakfasts and our lovely hosts Ann and Simon was absolutely spot on. A thoroughly enjoyable break, the town centre is a short walk away and the location is ideal for visiting a host...

We have stayed at Dunan House twice. The owners are very welcoming, and particularly kind to children. My sons were allowed to collect the eggs in the morning. The rooms are clean and large. The breakfast is freshly made and very good. The house is in a very quite location, and very close to town centre, perhaps 5 minutes away...

Stayed at Dunan House recently for a couple of nights and really enjoyed everything about it. Location is so handy for walking into the town, to the beach or to the shops and restaurants, literally 5 minutes walk away. The rooms are very pleasant and comfortable, nice bed, good sized rooms, bathroom quite small but very good shower. Breakfast superb...

There is so much to love about this house. The location, stylish interior, the quirky art work and the super breakfasts and all these are very good indeed. On the weekend we were there the lady was on her own and and we almost felt we were an inconvenience with barely a word spoken to us. Now don't get me...

We are slightly confused. The review has just appeared from Dottii who stayed "two weeks ago" in "febuary". As it is nearly June we can't identify when the review refers to. Anyway, profound apologies to Dottii for the lack of warmth. Maybe, as Annie was in solo operation she was feeling the pressure! Who knows? Sometimes it is difficult to...

We very much enjoyed our 2 day visit to Annie and Simon's B&B. Aldeburgh is a lovely place and the centre and sea front are but a short walk from Dunan House. Excellent golf course nearby too. Our room was ideal and the breakfasts wonderful. Thank you and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Dunan House is in the quiet part of the beautiful seaside town of Aldeburgh; looking out over the marshes to the river and beyond. The house is slightly grand, set back from the road in the centre of a large garden with many mature trees. You hardly feel you are in the town and yet the high street, shops, pubs, restaurants, cinema and the beach are all within a 10 minute walk. Inside, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is interesting art and craft throughout the house. Breakfast is pretty good too and includes fresh eggs from the Dunan House hens. ... more   less
