My husband and I stayed here for one night on a Saturday. We were greeted by Sharon at reception who quickly checked us in, asking if we needed any suggestions of where to eat. We asked for a quiet room and were given a room on the upper floor with a double bed. She informed us that the lodge was...

Uncomfortable beds, no canteen and almost £5 for a breakfast box that could only be considered a snack. Was also awakened at night with the fire alarms going of for 20 seconds, yet got no explanation why in the morning.

Room was spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed. The staff on the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. My only niggle (and there isn't really anything that can be done) is the very thin ceilings. Being in a ground floor room the occupants above sounded like a herd of elephants whenever they moved around. So much so it woke...

This is a simple hotel that gives you everything you need at a good price but without it feeling it is a stripped back experience. I have stayed in other budget hotels where there is no plaster on the walls, the bed is like a rock and you get one pillow each. The travelodge was warm, the bed was quite...

Can't fault Travelodge at Sedgefield. Booked in advance as was visiting a friend in the area, got the flexible rate at £37 for the night. When I first checked in the lady on the desk was really friendly, and gave me clear instructions as to where my room was located. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean, all the...

A good location to stay for access to Durham and Teesside. Some excellent places for you to dine or have coffee in Sedgefield centre. More or less central to Durham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough and Darlington.

Was a good stay. Just a few things that needed sorting to make it perfect! Plug sockets to close to shelf so charger didn't fit and straighteners didn't fit in plug without breaking wire! Bed throw was filthy looked like someone had thrown eggs at it! But we took it off. Was okay for the money

As with most Travelodges - a bare knuckles hotel that are generally decent when you know you just need a place to crash for the night. Bed was comfortably, though the pilows definitely were not! Room needed to be clear A LOT better - there were dead bugs all over the shelf above the clothes rail, which remained for our...

We had a family room with two single beds for grand sons, neither of which had a mattress on the base, an extra quilt was provided, which seemed to suffice. It would also have been good to have a table to play games on.

Excellently located, well maintained Travelodge, very friendly service, tidy clean room, comfortable bed, traffic noise significant when window open, bathroom could have been cleaner. There is a tasty Indian Restaurant and petrol station with basic food and drink available on site.
