I stayed here for a quick business trip stopover on my way to a meeting in Stone. Situated in a quiet part of town next to a cricket club. It's not a modern hotel and the rooms are of a motel style. Check in was easy and quick, the rooms are in need of an update. There's a decent free...

This is a modern and inexpensive hotel with staff who are really pleasant and helpful. It's not a sophisticated experience, but it's excellent value for money. Breakfast is ok, but vegetarian options are limited!

This hotel has a motel section which we stayed in. A simple room with all the necessities for a short stay. It was large enough with a decent shower over the bath. A little tired in some areas but ok for the price.

One night stop over on way to Wales. Had to ring a bell on arrival as staff were on duty in bar. Only a short wait for some one to arrive. Instructions on how to find room were too complicated for me and involved driving from one end of the car park to the other (we walked). Room (on first...

We stayed for the night when we took the kids to Alton Towers. The rooms were clean and fairly large but a little dated. The bar area was also dated and empty but we were there early so it may have been busier later on. The hotel was ok for an overnight stay and the redeeming factor for this hotel...

We stayed here in the lodge, for 2 nights whilst we went to Alton Towers. Lovely and clean, spacious and has everything you need. The staff are lovely and friendly, breakfast was great and we had no problems. Next time we visit Alton Towers we will stay here again.

We recently stayed in the hotel. 2 adults 3 children. The family room was large, even had a sofa and ipod docking station. We were offered breakfast which was £15, which was great. Lots to choose from. We had a lovely stay. Thank you

Please note this review is for 'The Lodge' which is part of the Tollgate Hotel but set in its own grounds. After spending ages looking for a hotel that could accomodate our family of 6 (2 adults & 4 children under 7) near to Alton Towers there was only a few that could actually accomodate 6 in one room and...

The stay didn't get off to a great start, the rain was torrential and we were soaked through after being at alton towers all day so we just wanted an easy check in. There was no one at the check in desk so we waited a little while and then my boyfriend had to go into the bar to find...

To be honest, my wife and I were not expecting anything special when we booked two nights in this inexpensive hotel in preparation for our golf matches at Trentham GC the next day and Beau Desert GC the day after. However we were swept away by the superb accommodation, food and service; not to mention price. On arrival we were...
