A beautiful house, a very warm welcome. It is good to take the time to slow down and enjoy the grounds and lounges. I could not fault this lovely b&b! The rooms are delightful and so much character. Situated near the town of Wells in a quiet location.

A beautiful country house set in fabulous grounds where you are made to feel very welcome. We stayed in the Pepecorn room which was lovely once of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Break is amazing so much choice, well cooked and presented. The wifi in the bedroom is a bit hit and miss but thats not...

We stayed at Beryl for the first time to celebrate our 46th Wedding Anniversary and we were not disappointed. This stunning house is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and reflects the owners love and dedication to giving guests a warm welcome and a chance to share the pleasures that the property holds. Everything was spotlessly clean and so beautifully presented. Fine...

We stayed here with our two children (3 and 5) and received the warmest welcome with cake and biscuits on arrival in the homely lounge and garden. Room was perfect and quiet, I had a drink from the honesty bar. Breakfast was fantastic and accommodating to our wishes, we then asked to have coffee in the lounge to play some...

We live in France and visited Wells for the first time this year. The purpose of the trip was to attend the antique fair in Shepton Mallet on July 3rd. We had booked at Beryl B&B through the internet, not knowing what to expect. We found not only a beautiful and well kept house surrounded by a magnificent garden but...

Beryl was a real find: welcoming and comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. The owner and staff were all unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Our room (on the top floor) was not huge, but perfectly adequate and immaculately clean, with a good, powerful shower. The communal rooms on the ground floor were all very comfortable. We loved...

Superb breakfast with the friendliest of staff and the owner is so lovely, helpful and so much more than just a hostess/owner. Lovely pool that catches the sun all...

This B & B was a real discovery. Really feels like staying in someone's house and though you are given space and independence you are made to feel very welcome. Original decoration and the room was incredibly (it was one of the smaller ones) comfortable (particularly the bed) and well-designed for the space. Reading or hanging out in the garden...

This is the most wonderful place to stay. The house is beautifully decorated in character with the age of the property. The owner is very welcoming and clearly loves the building. The gardens are beautifully kept, and include a swimming pool. Our room was huge and very comfortable with great views. The breakfast was excellent. We were sorry to have...

A very good hotel that didn't quite make the top score. It was quite strange to approach this charming residence through a housing estate. The room we were in was a bit cramped. The breakfast was not quite good enough - overcooked bacon - but there was lots of different things on offer. Some nice drawing rooms to relax in.
