Room was small and very tired bed was small squeaks and uncomfortable. Had problems with room and TV when reported it was told that’s allot of rubbish by the management. Shocking customer service. Expected hotel to have charm but its more old tired and needs an update. OK for drinks but if you’re looking for a nice clean hotel with... More

Glastonbury was great such a mystical feel and some beautiful boutique shops with amazing products to buy steeped in character. The hotel was perfect some great features in some rooms others are normal but still nice and convenient with everything you need. Stairwells higgledy and creaky floors but just adds to the charisma of the place. Some parts do need... More

We stayed one night at the George and Pilgrims Hotel, entirely because of its central location in Glastonbury and interesting history. It is very old, dating back to the 15th century. We really enjoyed having drinks in the pub at the front of the hotel, looking at High Street and marveling at the hotel's ancient walls. Part of the family... More

We had a meal here recently. The building is higgeldy piggedly in organisation. We walked into the restaurant which is on the left in the long corridor past the bar. Eventually ,found out that we should order the food and drink at the bar, and then it becomes waitress service. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is extremely old... More

The building itself is historic and very well located being walking distance to Glastonbury Abbey and Glastonbury Tor, the Chalice Well etc. A good stopover en route further West. Breakfast good. But room 9 sits directly over a air conditioning unit which comes on for about 10-15 mins every hour. Very noisy. There are also the church bells every half... More

Myself and girlfriend stayed for the night and couldnt fault it. All staff are helpful and friendly, breakfast was great, Sandra the Manageress even went out of her way to help in leaving flowers in the room prior to us arriving. The character and history of the place is clear, with many stories to be told by the staff... an... More

Fantastic place to stop for a drink when visiting Glastonbury. Prices were decent, and the drinks were what they were. To be able to step into a building with that much history was amazing! If In Glastonbury, it is worth the time to stop in for a drink.

I stayed here with one of my daughters, we had a four poster room, room 2 in the old part of the building at the front.. It was quite amazing, upon opening the door it truely was like stepping back more than 500 years. The George and Pilgrims has a very relaxed atmosphere.. However, I do tend to agree with... More
