What a find........a lovely Edwardian style building rising over the town of Dunster. Stayed two nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. The welcome from the owner was friendly and accompanied by tea and biscuits which was an unexpected gesture. The room was clean, spacious and reflected the character of the building. The breakfast was enticing from... More

We stayed for just a night in this lovely B&B in the beautiful village of Dunster. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming; our room was very clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a pretty view over the gardens. The breakfast was delicious - bacon, eggs, locally produced honey and jams, and the owner of this B&B made the best scrambled... More

We stayed just one night in this characterful house and had a very pleasant stay. Our room had lovely views to the coast and was tastefully furnished in keeping with the history of the property while providing all the modern facilities one could ask for. The bed was very comfortable and the electric heater worked well once we could work... More

Wonderful B&B, glorious views, first rate breakfast. This lovely B&B is set in a very pretty village with walking from the doorstep. Graham has a good selection of maps and books and can advise on a wide variety of places to go in the locality. The gardens are a delight - they certainly gave me food for thought on return... More

We had a super stay at this lovely B&B. Set high above Dunster with superb views of Dunster Castle, the church and coastline, but situated within easy walking distance of the village centre. Janet and Graham were great hosts and made us very welcome. The breakfast was excellent with local produce on offer. Higher Orchard is a beautiful house with... More

This B&B is situatied in a great location--high up with nice views and a beautiful well-kept garden with many varieties of plants. Breakfast was very nice with many homemade items, served by a genial host, who also offered us a ride to Minehead, since we were going there on the same morning as he was. The house animals were pleasant... More

Recently spent 4 nights at Higher Orchard, Dunster and cannot rate it highly enough. Janet and Graham were so friendly - nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were spotlessly clean, welcoming, the beds were very comfortable and the shower was good and powerful. The breakfast - especially the home-grown fruit and home-made jams and marmalade - was... More

We very much enjoyed our weekend with Janet and Graham at Higher Orchard - the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the garden was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious - country eggs, homemade porridge, delicious muesli and yoghurt (and exceptional homemade marmalade and blackberry jam). We were fortunate to be able to borrow a guidebook from Graham... More
