From our first arrival at this hotel we were well impressed. The owners were friendly, helpful and quickly established the feeling that nothing was too much trouble, and their staff all reflect this attitude. The room was very well presented and equipped to a high standard with smart TV and decent free WiFi. The car parking was extremely convenient and...

Thank you for your kind words John C. It was a pleasure to look after you at our hotel and restaurant. It's great to hear that the recently upgraded rooms are appreciated. We agree with you, since we've been here barely a year ourselves, what a stunning village and location. We hope to see you again, soon. Kind regards. John

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and had a lovely room, meal and breakfast. The owners have had it a year and they really have turned the place around and are making it a great place to stay. Good parking at rear and great location for visiting Dunster and area.

We were attending a family 'do' in Dunster so booked a room here for the weekend. We were very glad of the free private parking as street parking was crowded. Taken up to our room the De Motun which was up in the attic. Up a steep staircase so may not be for everyone. Very nicely decorated, fresh and clean....

Really enjoyed our stay here in March. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Room was lovely, comfortable and spacious. The hotel was recently refurbished and was very clean and smart. We very much enjoyed our evening meal and delicious breakfast served at the table freshly cooked, Loved Dunster, a beautiful Medieval town. Enjoyed looking round the castle. Walked to...

Very impressed with the friendly welcome and the fact that the hotel is spotlessly clean. Rooms are comfortable and well furnished to a high standard. The staff, particularly Sam, Gina and the lovely housekeeping lady went the extra mile to be of service. The food is excellent and the setting beneath the Castle is perfect. Recommended.

Popped in with a friend to sample the Sunday Roast. I had the beef, she opted for the chicken. Staff were very welcoming and the setting and décor tastefully done. Would recommend a meal here and will, in all likelihood, be eating here again sometime soon. A bit of a gem.

Feel perfectly at home here. A lovely greeting when we arrived. Flat 2 was lovely , spacious had every thing we needed. Views from the windows of Dunster park. Also enjoyed the home cooked meals that we had on some occasions. Cream teas a must to have. Scones so light, they melt in your mouth. I highly recommend this place...

Hello Sue C. All our meals are cooked from scratch so wherever it is possible we make modifications, and it gives the chefs a bit of a challenge (keeps them on their toes!). With the village being so quiet a car can often come as a surprise to the calmness of the village, but it's the price of being in...
