Very nice hotel, close to the city. (10 minutes walk). Set in a grand avenue. Classic Bath building. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Note that there is no lift. Room was quite small, but perfectly comfortable. Views overlooking the park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Somewhat expensive for this type of hotel, but I guess this is what... More

Typically old fashioned traditional English bed and breakfast type hotel ideally located in Bath's grandest street. Lovely and quaint inside, the staff very helpful. Bedrooms were a good size, looking out onto the rugby ground and the re-furbished bathroom was very modern. Overall a good night's sleep!

The Edgar Townhouse is close to Pulteney Bridge and the city centre. The rooms are attractive and modern and the owner/staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a wide range of breakfast options on the menu with locally sourced eggs, sausages, etc. My favourite over the four night stay was scrambled eggs and salmon. This was always well cooked... My mother and I stayed at The Edgar Townhouse in early July and had a great experience. We stayed for three nights and everyone was very nice. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel to the center of town. Breakfast was delicious and the folks running the place were kind enough to let us have an earlier-than-usual... More

Nice quiet location close to the city centre. Friendly staff and clean/quiet rooms. Good breakfast and option to leave your suitcases in the hotel when your departure is later. Try not to have top floor rooms due to the small view from the window however its still a very decent townhouse.

My husband and I have recently spent three nights at the Edgar Townhouse. We chose the double en-suite which included breakfast. The rooms were just as described and pictured on the website, this included a lovely new and exceptionally clean bathroom. There were complimentary toiletries provided and towels replaced daily. Only downside for us was as nice and modern as... More

We had the best room in the house directly above the breakfast room. It was large with a great en suite. The view outside our room was lovely and was exactly what we came to Bath for - to get a feeling of Regency Bath. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed for a couple of nights and were quite happy with our stay. Coming in, the townhouse offers no hotel-like fancies except the location on a gorgeous street of Georgian houses, nor a large reception, but our room was nice and the bathroom spacious. The third bed's set-up hadn't been done although we arrived in the evening, but they... More
