Our 1st visit to Bath this year as we usually visit York but we thought we'd try something differant this time around & I'm pleased to say we are glad we did and will most definately be returning. The Ayrlington is situated very nicely with a short walk to the centre, the staff are all very friendly and we felt...

Just got back from The Ayrlington this morning from visiting Bath Christmas Market with family. We booked The Range Room & The Darwin and both rooms were beautiful. Both rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. There was a great choice of breakfast, we had a full breakfast and produce was of a great quality and presented perfectly. The lounge...

This being our first visit to Bath, we would recommend this hotel. A warm welcome, free parking at the front (off the main road) and location was ideal. We stayed in the garden room, on the lower ground floor with lovely views to a well maintained garden and a modern ensuite complete with a large shower. Tea & coffee, hairdryer,...

My friends and I spent just the one night here (shame it wasn't 2) for Christmas market shopping and it was fab. With just a 10 minute flat walk into the city centre it was perfect for us. Everything looked and and smelt very clean and the rooms were very spacious. Breakfast was scrummy (would highly recommend the eggs Benedict)...

Having stayed at The Ayrlington for the first time last year, it was only a matter of time before we revisited. Again we booked for a couple of nights to coincide with Bath's Christmas market and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a fantastic location, a short stroll from the city centre. Our room was very clean, spacious and...

My husband and I visited Bath on the 29th November staying at the Ayrlington Hotel for one night. At the Ayrlington David and Casey made us feel very welcome and were so helpful. We had the Garden bedroom which was lovely. The walk into Bath is only 8 minutes. The breakfast was delicious and served with a smile. We will...

My partner and I stayed here for a night and would really recommend it. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was nice and clean. In fact the room was lovely considering it was supposed to be a standard room! We stayed in the bamboo room which over looked the bowling green next door and across the the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age. The Ayrlington's ongoing commitment to quality has brought some well deserved and hard earned awards - five stars from The AA and Visit Britain, AA Premier Collection, a listing in The Good Hotel Guide and multiple Bath in Bloom garden awards. ... more   less
